So I went farming a few days ago in a certain small area. There was a couple other people there and I was using thf/rng. I had to rely mostly on my crossbow for claiming and was easily gettin beat out by instant cast stuff. Needless to say I did rather bad that night.
So I went back yesterday afternoon as thf/war so I could make use of voke. There was a few people there, and I started going to town. I got a /t from "supeinsin" asking me not to voke. I thought to myself "yeah right, ive been screwed waaay to many times to just let others own me again". He pointed out that no one there had use of voke (there was like a smn and some other jobs not great for farming). Now, in the past I use to like to play on an even field and not steal from others. But when you do that for others, and they end up screwin you, it gets old real fast. So last night I decided to give it a try once again and said sure, why not. I was amazed. For a good 2-3 hours we had like 10 people come to the area, many with voke, and many agreed to use melee only claims to be fair. For people who didnt speak english I used "<me> no {Provoke}, <t> no {Provoke}?" which many got and agreed to. For those couple hours everyone there was having a good time. We were all joking around, and if someone beat someone else, there was no hard feeling.
It didnt last forever as eventually a few came in and spoiled it for everyone, but I have to say im impressed that there is still a lot of people willing to make some sacrifice to make the game more enjoyable for all. Now, is this sort of thing happening a lot realistic? I doubt it. I mean it only takes one person to spoil a good thing. But I really had to come on here and give this guy supeinjin props for trying his damndest to level the playing field for everyone.
