hey recently i was hacked by henisha

this is a link to the image, it shows she changed my billing adress into hers. she put her credit card info and all so everyone go ahead and see it.. if u want her admitting it please send me a IM at Vision Of Gideon. or Shadowsfall_93@hotmail.com and i send u guys a copy of a chat me and henisha had where she admits taking all my stuff.

i am most likely going to quit due to the fact i will but i will not buy all my stuff back and had well worth over 15mil+ in stuff she deleted my chars and everything.

please do not trust this person this is a fair warning. and for those of u who are wondering what is SE going to do?

"We will investigate" there u go..

and i just recently restored my char.

Admin edit: Due to the fact that we have no way to verify the validity of this story at this time, I have removed the link to the financial information. Quite frankly I cannot be sure if your story is true, and leaving that image places our site in a legally uncertan position. for that reason, i have removed the link pending further investigation.

I am curious how someone was able to 'Hack' your Account and take it over?

A. If they used thier Own CC#, It's an Open / closed Case of the Account changing Ownership.

B. If they used someone else's CC# to obtain your Account, it's an Obvious useage of Credit Card theft, and more Powerful People then SE would be / can be all over that issue.

My Point being, if somone used your PoL ID (How they got it, defeats me), and changed the Billing, most likely, thier name is plastered on your Content ID's.

Also, you might not want to post an Image to the Information you are displaying in that Image (Personal Billing and Address Info). That is exactly how Identity Theft Occurs.

FYI: You also Displayed your PoL ID, Bad Move. There is a reason why you see prompts stating "SE will never ask you to Post / Email your Account Information" >.>

It is actually fairly easy to get peoples PoL ID...if you are underhanded and know how to do it. You just have to know your way around firewalls. I had something similar happen to me - by the friend that helped me install my router (and yeah, I checked for a backdoor and didn't find one). Beyond that method, I don't know. Lesson here: Trust NO ONE. Really. no one.

Sorry to hear you got hacked. If all that was taken was items that can be sold, you are very lucky. SE was helpful getting SOME of my items and things back, but if the items were dropped (in the case of rare/ex items and items that could not be sent via inbox), they can not recover them. If it was recent, they can recover items, and can restore your character, but there is difficulty there, so know the pro's and con's.

Talk to PoL customer service as well. They should work together to help you, and can be quite nice if you are nice to them.

My point is, you can just read the PoL ID right off the Linked Image Above.

Good Luck on getting your Character Back ^^

I would Think being able to read all the PoL ID's from your Manuals, and give the previous Billing info should fix you Up.

However, I could see where SE could get Concerned, for Example, some people sell thier accounts on Ebay (Even tho Totally Against ToS), and I imagine they change billing after the sale. If SE were to Revert Ownership of Account to the Original Person, just because they call, and request it, that could turn into a Legal Battle (Goods Sale Breached).

I'm not calling you an Account Seller of course, just stating a Possibilty from SE's Perspective. Everyone knows America is the Land of Lawsuits >.>

Btw, Good call on the Admin's Edit. Leaving any account info out of the forums, is a wise move, for anyone involved.

Yes, although it was creepy for what's-her-face to go into your account and change the information, posting her credit card information publicly without her permission is a crime (although I'm not a lawyer, so maybe I'm wrong ^_^).

Well, the cut and dried aspect of it is....it isn't illegal to post the evidence of the theft..at worst Henishi(sp) could cry Defamation of character ( DoC is publically written as opposed to libel which is spoken and is a misdemenor while DoC is a federal offense) however the responsability to prove that she did not, in fact, commit theft, thereby proving that he is in fact committing defamation of character, would be place upon her and until she proved that he would be allowed to post it. He may have to edit some information because the Harassment law is a bit blurry at best.
The internet, the last time I checked(back in my college days), does fall under the same laws that govern "in person" contact.
Even though she did change the information to her own CC, it still technically can fall under identity theft - you legally can't touch or alter anything to do with someones CC, Bank Account etc without a Power of Attorney....even making a deposit, you could be refused by the financial institution.
treat this as more of an identity theft rather than an account theft. While she/he may have changed the billing information, you don't know if they wrote down or copied any of yours and quite frankly can you afford to take that risk?
