Hmmm you post rubbish, in an effort to 'prove' a rule violation, and in so doing you break the law, but WE have the problem?


I wouldn't count on it being much of a 'joke'. The seriousness of what you did may end up being far less humorous than you think.

And people wonder why I think kids shouldn't be allowed on the internet unsupervised.........

See the great thing about the law is it doesn't matter if you belive it or not, argree with it or not, or like it or not, its still the law, and you're still held accountable under it.

What most children fail to grasp, as both of you have, is that it also applies to YOU.

How am I being a hyporcite? no proof was given. A person filled out a form using information that was not his own to prove a point. There are a couple of serious problems with this..


A - It's fraud.

B - It was not a TRANSACTION. it was an un-executed ENTRY on a website form. It was NOT a transaction. It was NOT even completed, and it showed NO RECORD of any transaction having taken place.

So.....maybe you need invest some of that birthday money in a dictionary.

The post itself was done to harass. As I said, if the info is used ( by him or someone else) to make harassing calls, the statues on harassement attach.

The fact is the guy did a bone headed thing....he needs to be careful he doesn't take the next step and do something criminal, he's tettering on that edge.

Now if someone wanted to get nasty and try for a Civl action....that could go just based on the attempt to defame and damage his character. But it'd cost a whole crapload of money to actually DO it. And with a minor at the root of the thing, you'd probably lose.

To OP: Glad it was a joke and I don't have to kick your a$$. You must be seriously bored at work.

To pretty much everyone else on this board: When is there going to be a point where we can have a conversation about ANYTHING without someone saying "Don't listen to them, they are a gilbuyer."? Beyond the fact of WHO CARES, why is this such an issue?

While it is true that almost anything in this game can be bought, it is also true that anything in this game can be EARNED. If you have made the decision to earn your gil and items, and not buy them, thats your decision to make. If you want to turn your real life hard earned money into bits and bytes of fake currency, that is your decision as well. Can anyone argue that if you look at the big picture of someones life, each are not earned? Either way, you worked for it, whether or not ingame.


Lets face it, Gil is easy to make in this game, and this game is much much more than leveling your job. There are passive (gardening, and keeping those rare items as investments) and active (farming, crafting, quests) ways to make gil. I'm not getting into this discussion here, but if you want to make gil, it is very very easy in this game, trust me.

If you want to have a post and debate gilbuying or selling, have at it. Just can we keep it out of every other one?

Can we just learn to deal with the fact that there is no one way to play this game? If there were, a number of us would be long gone. Stop it already!
