Agreed. I'm going to reaffirm that I think it might just be a misunderstanding: granted, Thai's party claimed the NM after it went yellow but the difference between his being a villain or a hero depends on whether the other party's intention, which is apparently vague at that exact point in time.

Now we see a picture where the other party bound the mob and was running away from it: not very far away, but you have to admit, that sounds like they might have been zoning from an observer's point of view. Of course, Shuffles was there, standing next to Thai but that doesn't mean both their reactions would be the same. If I were in their shoes, I would be just as likely to have wanted to help 'save' the other party by voking it off them as soon as possible, as I would be to wait and see what they were doing, both viable options in my opinion.

Secondly, he sent me a pic of you guys trying to MPK them. I shouldn't call you scumbags for doing that would i? Let's see. Hostile shouts, threats of MPK, attempted MPK. I wouldn't apologize either if you did that to me.

Hmmm. I'd be interested to see the OP's response to this...

Hi,
You dont have to read this but thai is one of the best ppl
you can ever meet, his very willing to help and as i see it he
was trying to help them it is a big misunderstanding and i think
you all need to take a look at your selfs and chill out at the end of the day its a game.

If you fight a NM at a distance, it'll go unclaimed unless you have a party trained with all the reasons monsters go unclaimed.

NM theft is so expected that you need to mention the people who don't turbo-voke a monster and don't steal the claim when it goes white for a split second.

These people are gonna level to 75 just fine and run through tu'lia, unless you devote yourself to stalking and mpking them with new accounts / billing addresses. Or maybe murdering them in real life.

I would love to see that picture too, since i or the rdm never moved the whole fight. And I am a ranger, its a little harder for me to mpk. Man thats funny. We were also in the lower lvl gob area. Man thai just keeps lieing, or you are just making this up.

Oh, and so you know, there are actual gobs in that area where they were fighting the nm. Guess what they link, wow big surprise. Post that picture, ya, you will see me standing there, while you guys fight links. And from the picture you will see the gobs that link were the low lvl ones. If i was to mpk them i would have grabbed the higher lvl gobs.

Its sad that you see someone steal an nm, and people actually think they are nice for helping. I just wish the other people involved were on the forum so they could tell you what happened.

But again, it boggles my mind that you dont see the fact that they said nothing or apologized doesnt tip you off that they stole it.

If i went to help them, and probably 99 percent of decent people, would have said to the original claimers, sorry, i thought you needed help, my apologies. And at least invite to alliance so they can get to lot on drop.

I am sorry but if you cant see that as a big clue, there is nothing more i can say, cause you guys will never understand.

I'm not playing 'hard to convince': just as you have a right to post your opinion that what they did was wrong and intentional, I also have to right to say that I think its a little premature to judge.

You sound as if you need to convince the forum or prove that your version of events happened, but you've already done your part by alerting the rest of us to it. Since us readers will never have a perfect picture of what went on without fraps or some other video program, we can only make our own decisions based on what we've read here and what we know about Thai and gang. My personal opinion is just that I will judge them when I feel there's enough evidence to be sure, and in the meantime I'll just be careful of them.

Like I said, you don't have to convince us. Your side of the story is free to view, people can make up their own minds what they want to believe. Just because I'm urging restraint before condemning someone to eternal ostracism does not mean you 'failed' to convince the rest, it just means that what I believe.

Also, to address the lack of an apology as a clue, it *is* a clue, but a single circumstantial clue does not a criminal make. Ysabell's post could be a clue in the opposite direction also. Surely that doesn't prove that he's simultaneously a great guy and a villain?

Meaning no insult, but this game involves real people who expend real time and real effort on accomplishing things. I'm not taking part in this discussion because I take the game too seriously, I'm taking part in it because I don't want to see anyone wronged, nor their fun ruined if this is all one big misunderstanding. After all, isn't that why you posted too: for the people (Thai), not just for the game?

Gobs drop bombs right? I've seen gustav gobs drop bombs and 1 shot a 60 pld before. so what makes you think a lower lvl gob like the ones in that area are just not as dangerous? But you might think it is not MPK, but to them it is. Fighting a gob right by a party fighting bones can, either accidentally or purposefully, be interpreted as trying to MPK. Two sides to a story.

Umm, you want to alliance them so they can lot on fire crystals? From what i'm told, it didn't drop. If they said it did, they were probably pressing your buttons. Like I said before, none of them have a rng job within 20-30 lvls of the Obow. No motive other than helping out another party in trouble.

So what discounts them for being the last 1%?

Actually phase, i never fought any gob, i just stood there and watched.

In fact, i was the one that died from a gob bomb from one of the links that they were fighting.

I stood there, never moved, so i never tried to mpk, it was me that died.

I'll give you that one. You weren't in the party that was fighting near them but there was a party there. Either way, they thought another team was trying to mpk them.

I'm sure that if you guys had helped with the link instead of giving them a hard time, the outcome would have been a bit better.

I remember a year and a half ago when the first wave of initial NA PC players hit Kazham. Thai was in the jungle the same time I was.

Now there are people who train gobs to the zone. And then there's Thai. I bet he killed each of the three parties near the zone atleast two or three times.

And he didn't say anything.

It was only after the repetative /slaps he was receiving that he spoke up.

This was a year and a half ago. And other then Jeuno when I walk by him occasionaly. I haven't had any contact with him since. But for some reason, this event is still as clear as day.

I wasn't impressed with him then, and I'm not surprised he grew up to be one of those scandilous players.

if the mob goes yellow after a party has been fightng it for a while, and someone cast dia/poison etc.. on it, or soemthing that doesnt generate lots of hate, the mob will continute to beat and batter the party it was origianlly claimed to, mpk'ing them, this happened to me a charybdis once.. thank you Glaciera... -_-
