For those of you who didn't know, I have decided to retire my FFXI character permanently. I have had a goal since November of last year, that I would be quitting on approximately my 1 year anniversary of starting the game.
I've ran into so many wonderful people on the way, and there is gonna be a big party to signal my conclusion. This party will be held on the night of Sunday March 6th.
The festivities include:
A QuietStorm Linkshell only party on the South Beach in Bubu peninsula. This is where the Linkshell leadership will pass from my hand to another from the Linkshell, to be determined by internal voting. Here the new LS Leader will buy the new Linkshell and begin to hand out pearls for the migration of Quiet Storm. This will begin approximately 7:30pm PST on Sunday.
Once the LS organizational stuff is over, I would like to invite everyone who is interested in attending to the Tavern in Windurst Waters at 9PM PST. It should be a lot of fun, and I particularly hope many of the people who I do not have on my friend list, but are considered friends will attend. Some mentionables include Zeena, Crafty, Percie and more. Aurani seemed nice as well :)
I want to make this a happy occasion, and embrace this change. I have bought about 200k in fireworks for the occasion, which I will distribute so we can have a spam fest. If you just want to come for the fireworks, that is cool too... just bring a positive attitude. I'm hoping we can burn the tavern down with the fireworks.
I don't want anyone to be shy; this will be a great time to meet new people on the game. All of my LS members are superb people, and this will give them a chance to meet many more.
If you would like to come to this, I will be sending out reminders before the party happens. If you would like to be one of those reminded, post a reply here and I'll send you a /tell.

I wanted to thank everyone who showed up last night. It was probably the biggest spam-fest to ever rock Windy Waters. Packed about 30? people into the tavern in Windurst Waters and had a great time. Really hard to walk around though, I mostly blame that on the Galkas :)
The fireworks fest lasted so long that I just ended doing my closing speech while it was happening. I know a couple people left before the end and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to them.
To Keidas, thanks for helping me on so many CoP missions and patiently leading my butt through all the cutscenes. You are a taru blm to look up to for skill and achievement.
To Vanyal, Van the Man, Vanny. He was the supplier of most of the fireworks for the event (see his signature and you'll know why). Vanyal's the hardest working crafter in showbizness. He was my first friend on the game, and was with me since it was a linkshell of 2 people. Great props to Van to sticking with me in the dark days, and always always always being available to lend a helping hand. Thank you Van for being a great friend on the game.
I hope I didn't miss anyone else that left early, but its hard to keep track of everyone. I'll be checking up on the LS website from time to time, so contact me there if you would like to talk some more.
