I'm interested in gauging the general interest in getting a group together to complete this mission. The previous mission was 2-3 in the Phomiuna Aqueducts, so if you have finished the Aqueducts, or will soon, and are interested in continuing on, post here or contact me in game, preferably with the jobs you could come as. It's still level 40 cap, and requires a bit more preparation that the Aqueducts since it's a 6 person bc.

Alright. Right now we're looking at.

Iasthai - WHM
Siever - MNK
Esoteria - BRD or RNG
Minona - RNG
Kiome - RNG
Heartoflove - WHM / BLM / THF

Eekiki - THF (If he gets 2-3 finished)

I'm currently trying to figure out if the mobs can be slept. If so than the brd ranger strategy would seem to work out. In any case I would advise reading about the fight in some of the posts and seeing what you think a working party set up would be.

If anyone reads this and has finished the mission please advise me of the feasibility of sleeping the mobs.

Simply put, they cant be slept. :(

Let me add some suggestions:

1) Reaching BC is very easy, true sight mobs are kinda blind actually, unless you stand very close to them.
Be sure to bring a couple of Prism Powders to avoid the Atomic Clusters in the final part of the road to the BC.

2) BC fight is HARD. Bring a lot of Hi-Potions, Yagudo Drinks, Hi Ethers and dont forget about Yellow Liquids (yes, I know they are expensive, but if you're lucky they will drop also off the BC NM during the battle...)

3) Try to use the Yellow Liquid to lock the NM on the "Mnk Form", if they turn to "Blm Form" silence them ASAP, their -ga spells can really ***** up your attempt.

4) Be very careful about the Transmogrification thing! Set the config option and have the damage shown on screen, if you miss the ability effect (and trust me, it will happen...) you will know you're healing the mob instead of damaging it by the color of the damage on the screen (blue instead of red...).

5) To be honest, I think its kinda hard to win the BC with the jobs you have available right now :(
You definetly need 2 guys who can keep 2 of the NM busy (without dying...) while other melees are killing the third.
A Nin/War can take one without any problem, a Rdm/Blm (or /Nin also...) or a Smn/Whm could take the other...

Good Luck :)

Hmm, well from my linkshell, I could supply some War/Nins, Nin/Wars, SMNS, Blms, Whms, MNKs, and 2 PLDs.

I would rather we all do it together, so maybe we could form an alliance or 3 :P

bah, sleeping seemed too easy. Well ok that idea is gone. Alright so the two remaining strategies seem to be kiting(or just plain nin tanking) or having 3 vokers pull them all together and having 2 summoners astral flow them all to heck. Since it looks like we're going have more people we can tailor the parties to the fight. Thanks a lot of for the info Aethel.

We don't have any concrete plans yet, so don't go getting your hopes up. We do however have an idea of the strategy we'd like to try, but it doesn't lend itself to what many feel are the normal "ideal" jobs for these missions. We've got more research to do before we can start signing people up. It's tedious, it's time-consuming, and it's harder to organize, but if it makes the difference between completing this mission and getting owned, I'll do it.

I'd personally like to wait for some of my friends to catch up with the CoP missions before we organized this... but I don't know. Anyway, keep sending Iasthai mysterious tells about this post. He freaks out about them and I get a kick out of it.

I'm rdm/whm+blm+nin, nin/war+whm+rdm
Last time I won, I was rdm/blm marathoning one of them solo. I'd do it again so I could get more details recorded. X3
