mmmm rant..Follow

Hi everyone, just signed up today - great to see so many familiar names! /wave

Almost instantly I have to rant about an alliance I was in today for 3 missions. For the past 4 days, I've been meeting up with the same people at the same time to do missions to get to rank 10 and finally find out what's going on in the Kingdom of San d'Oria. Today was the time to complete the final 3 missions. 18, 19 and 20. I met with a friend early this morning, Endymion, built up an alliance with him over the space of 3-4 hours, a few other 'so called friends' joined (not in the previous alliances). 3 of these people, all friends in real life. I wont name these people, because I'm not trying to plauge anyone nor do I have any vendettas - I'll call these 3 people 'the group'

Our alliance is almost full, so we travel to Yhoat, get all the way through the temple for M18. As we get to the door which needs the prelate key.. one of 'the groups' friends come online - not currently in the alliance with us, my friend who was with us at the time in the temple asks us to wait for his friend who has just logged on. So we wait. and wait. and wait. 45 minutes pass, he gets to us - Oh, he didn't finish cutscenes, back again.. another 30 minute wait. So he finally catches up with us. We had JP players in our party who wanted to hurry as it was 3am their time, however we talked them into waiting for this taru's friend (part of the real life friend group). Now everyone is happy, the 2 taru real life friends together after waiting an hour and 15 minutes for him to catch us up. Mission goes well. Move onto 19, Mission goes well, Move onto 20. All of this throughout the day took us 10 hours. We get to Fei'Yin for the final part, by this time, the cocky little taru red mage had taken over the alliance with his demanding attitude and telling people which party would be first, etc. There was only one RDM and one BLM in the alliance - The two real life friends. So they choose to go first, with their third real life friend.. LS member and one random PLD from the 3 in our alliance. They then say they will do it over 2 times to help the rest of the alliance, after we got them to this point in the space of a day. Only fair after all. They attempt M20 once, die. the 75 whm in the alliance Raise III on them, they try it again, We wait over an hour for them to try it twice. Succeed.

Then the nasty part, they all teleport-holla, leaving us behind then say 5 minutes later in tell 'We're going now, got a linkshell event'. Then left the rest of the alliance unable to complete M20 after spending the day with us, these two and their other LS member/RL friend decided they'd just ditch it, after waiting in Fei'Yin for them to finish for 60 mins, reraise iii'ing them, and having them tag along all day in the alliance - Alliance which we had set the previous 3-4 days with the same members.

I would name these people, but then I guess everyone would say I'm out to ruin them or whatever - but yeah, just had to vent that!

Oh, by the way, Hi, I'm Conno >.>

O.oo.OO.oo.O

I have nothing else to say on this subject other than I'd let any LS you were in know... And I hope everyone else in the Alliance does too... That's just wrong...

And Hi, welcome ^_^

Conno... Now that I see you on here ranting I think I should take the time to apologize and explain myself. So... I'm sorry for leaving the party the other day. Please understand that the party was going from bad to worse and that the leader asked me to go so you guys could get RDM.

BTW! This was only an experience party! Not a Mission or Quest! If you look around in these forums I will stay with Quests and Mission till the end.

I was going to stay until a replacement arrived but for some reason you started flaming me. You say you don't listen to others but I believe you flamed me because of what others have said.

The only reason I have left any parties as BRD (and that is only 3 total, including the one you were in) is because some paladins just can't work with ballad. This is why a party with a paladin tank needs a RDM rather than a BRD for refresh. If both RDM and BRD are in the party then everything is fine. And a party can have just BRD and PLD if the PLD knows how to take ballad. You see... we all were telling the paladin what to do but he just did not understand. That went on for about a half an hour which is way to long for me.

A few other things to understand (training for paladins that need it):
1) If paladin is standing in the middle of melee and screaming for ballad... all melee is going to get ballad. Melee hates that.
2) If a paladin wants ballad in a non-RDM party they must stand on mage side to get it and opposite the rest of melee.
3) If a paladin absolutely can not separate from melee during battle they must run to mages between pulls for refresh.
4) BRD's are whiny brats and they don't like you telling them how to do their jobs because by the time they pass 50 there is nothing you can teach them.

Now there is one ignorant paladin out there whose name I want to flame because he was so damn rude about ballad. And actually he makes me not ever want to join parties with PLD tank and no RDM. That paladin is Xabu. He is the only one dumb enough to not fully understand all of this. So Xabu... read the above. Any posting you put back to this will only prove your ignorance to the rest of the server. All the good paladins out there know me. I'm sure the bad ones curse my name (like I said, only 3). And Xabu I also asked for replacement in your party but got flamed by the SMN who was a rank 7 with a level 75 job. So I left.

One thing 99% of the server can attest to is that I am a great BRD and I stay til the end. So if anyone would like to dispute that please do. I would love to tell you the reasoning for what I may have done.

But once again Conno I wanted to apologize. I would not have left had you not flamed me and I would have waited for that RDM replacement. I promise I don't usually don't do things like that but I am an xp junky. I just think that if you are level 50+ you should not spend 45 mins trying to train your party how to play. Especially when you are a BRD and things like that are a waste of time because we get instant invites.

In my opinion there is a difference between flaming and being annoyed. However, I wont comment on this because I'm not here to argue or cause trouble.
