Okay so this is the story. I have recently levelled to 36. Upon doing so, I've taken alot of time out of my normal schedule to get the teleport scrolls through fame. Eager I was to get to Jueno with these spells. Why you ask? Two names come to mind:

Pasco and Nozokimi

I'm sure you jsut shuddered at the mention of these two notorious names, but I have good news! For the past two days I have been giving out free Teleports to Holla, Dem, and Mea, and I must say the support I got was phenominal. Besides that, I have also made 40K in donations alone! (The biggest being 10,000 GIL from someone by the name of: Sillypolarbear.

But that's only personal good news. The good news YOU want to hear is this: I have hurt them. How? Well, during the past few hours, they have gone silent. They're were still in Jueno... but I don't see their spam anymore. Also, right before I logged off, my LS told me that they saw Pasco on a chocobo heading toward Bastok. Why? Who knows.

Now, granted, not having Altep , Yhoat, or Vhazl, I can only compete so much, but considering how much traffic I stole from them, I'm pretty confident that they've lost a good chunk of profit.

More power to the community I say!

Edit: OOPS! I forgot to add this humorous screenshot of something Pasco said as well: http://darkjesterarchive.homestead.com/files/Pasco.JPG

As much as I don't like the corporations the gil sellers work for, you probably killed their first born child. :P
In all seriousness though, good job. I've done this a few mornings as well, a few /cheers, no donations (apparently a fat tarutaru can't get any donations), and a lot of people wanting teleports ^^.

I have to ask what the Magicbus he was talking about is... (Pasco) Is that what he calls his Teles or something? Cause if it is, he just said he doesn't want to port gilsellers? Eh, I guess it just proves English is his strong point...

But one thing you have to remember is that not only are you hurting them, but everyone else as well. If I was doing ports at that time I would have been pretty pissed at you, cause you would have killed any money I would have made as well.

Not so. I stop porting the moment they leave. The problem is... they're usually back within 10 minutes. :/

well it doesn't take a genious to figure out... he's teleporting people 24/7 and has horrible equipment that is super underleveled so he's not spending it on himself. What else could he possibly be doing with his gil? he's made countless millions of gil and has no reason to save it. Also notice that he's the same level as when he started selling teleports several months ago.

btw, I love what you're doing :} keep up the good work

heh be careful about asking where to buy gil cause if the gil seller is smart enough to report u to a GM for asking to buy gil, you can get banned for a couple of days, its happened to me before >.<

I wish I had that kind of patience... I know I've spent plenty of days and nights in Lower Jeuno doing teleports and my prices were below those of Pasco and Nozokimi. The sad thing is that even though they are below thier prices I was getting maybe half of the business they were getting.

Granted, I did manage to get a lot of repeat customers in certain days... I've even had /tells from people who I've teleported in the past asking if I was willing to teleport them. But at the end of the day I have to look at my pocketbook and wonder if the gil I earned was worth it or not... I have to buy spells and equipment too so in the end it comes down to whether I go farming for a day or do teleports all day. Personally, I'd love to just do the teleports all day if I had a steady stream of people needing them.
Then again, I am also competing against several other WHM's who are also trying to do the same thing... and it becomes even more difficult to earn anything (weekends are bad from what I've noticed since that area typically has 6+ WHM's all doing teleports)...
