The emotes that exists that can describe my feelings can only be used on porn-cam sites. Needless to say, yes please.

That show lost a lot of appeal for me when Joel left. Luckily there was a lot of appeal to go around. I loved coming home from work, cracking a beer, and watching a guy and his "robots" making fun of some classic B-movies. I was doing that myself, then i got help!

They hit their first goal, so we've got at least three episodes on the way. The new host will be Jonah Ray from “The Nerdist Podcast," whoever and whatever that is.

The Nerdist is Chris Hardwick. You may know him from G4's AOTS, or more recently AMC's The Talking Dead. Assuming It's the same Nerdist podcast. I've heard the name Jonah Ray before, so i think it probably is the same people.

Edit:Yup.

Looks like they're adding Felicia Day as Kinga Forrester, the daughter of the original mad Dr Clayton Forrester, as the villain to torment Jonah Ray, Baron Vaughn as Tom Servo and Hampton Yount as Crow T. Robot of the new series. Though as of this it isn't "formally on paper" yet because Hodgson wasn't sure if the Kickstarter would work.

They're currently at $2.5m, which is three episodes. 23 more days to collect another $3m for a full 12 episodes.

Or as the host of MTV's Singled Out!

I personally always liked the Mike Nelson episodes better myself. I always found this show hit or miss though. When it was a good one I absolutely loved it, but sometimes the movie was just so old and so dated that even with them ripping on it I just couldn't sit through it. I usually liked the ones from the late 60's up into the 80's that they ripped on.

Well, Mike was the (head) writer for MST3k for all but like the public access episodes so even Joel's appeal was partly Mike's doing. Though I didn't like the Mike episodes mainly because the network forced overarching and annoying storylines and limiting the movies they could riff.

Now that makes me feel old, even though we're (Chris Hardwick and I) the same age.

I've watched about half of the episodes. Not a huge fan of the intermissions with the band. I mean, I recognize they're doing covers of songs from the original series, but it really bogs down the pacing of the show. Which is weird since they're just where the commercial breaks of the original show were (every 15 minutes or so). Also not a fan of how rapid fire the riffs are. They really don't give much time for a joke to land before they're on to the next. Also kind of difficult telling the difference between Crow and Tom in the theater since they sound similar.

It's certainly worth a watch, and it is funny, but you can also tell how great Mike was as a writer of the original series. It's pretty raw at the moment. Maybe if Jonah and crew get another season or two to get their groove it can become something better. Right now I'd still suggest Rifftrax over this, but I definitely wouldn't suggest not watching this.
