A fairly large number of shows that I'm at least tentatively interested in. It's going to turn out like this season where I had to put my foot down and only have 14 shows to watch regularly instead of trying to keep up with everything.
Edit: I enjoyed the heck out of Stay/Night, but I haven't watched Zero yet. From what I've heard, you will probably find it worth watching if you enjoyed Zero, but I can't give a complete personal opinion since I haven't seen the other one.
Those are just the ones I watch with my roommates. I also keep up with a couple others. Still, that's only about an hour a day of TV watching on average.
Edit: I'd bet that most people spend more time on their Twitter and Facebook than I do on that.
Just realized what Fate/stay night means by being on that list.
REMAKE!
I honestly am thrilled. I watched Fate/Zero before trying the 2006 Fate/stay night... and I just couldn't get into the latter. It was such a let-down in quality (not just animation though it's the first immediate difference). I only ever watched the first few episodes of the original... now I'm thinking I might just wait for the new series and watch that instead.
Also, Poldaran... go watch Fate/Zero. Holy moley. GO WATCH IT.
(In an unscientific comparison, myanimelist's ranking of anime puts the original Fate/Stay Night at #899... and Fate/Zero at #28. Seriously... go see it)
Edit: Looking up information on the series, this is what I found in one thread:
Quote:
Fate/Zero was very well received, qualified as "magnificent" by most anime fans; it is currently considered the best Type-Moon adaptation and one of the highest quality anime that ever aired in Japanese TV for it's movie-like production values.
It's on my list of things to get around to. I still haven't even watched Code Geas. Gimme time.
I actually watched the Fate movie (Unlimited Blade Works) for the first time over the weekend; pretty darn good. A LOT darker than the TV series, but it explained a lot more. From what I hear the new series should be even more mature; I'm looking forward to it!
UBW was pretty good. Now if only the latest Hellsing Ultimate would come out in the US, things I want on Blu-ray will be complete. I also started Code Geass Saturday night. On ep11 right now. Should have season one finished by Friday. Then I might watch Fate/Zero after that.

Some of the first episodes are out; I watched Log Horizon and Fate/Stay last night. Fate is too soon to tell but it's off to a good start (It's from Tohsaka's POV and she summons Archer).
Log Horizon was an interesting beginning. The first season went over the first five volumes; there are only seven out total. The opening episode started with volume 7, which I think is a good idea, as volume 6 doesn't have Shiroe much at all and wasn't my favorite. I almost feel like they reveal too much too quickly, but there's no denying it was an effective hook: While the Round Table has purchased all the important buildings in the city, the monthly costs mean they can't hold them indefinitely, so Shiroe tries some schemes to get gold from the clan behind the NPC bankers. When they rebuff his attempts, he informs them that he will bypass them to go directly to the magical source that supplies monsters with gold upon their birth. My guess is that they will jump back and forth between volume 7 and volume 6, as they happen at the same time. I hope they don't do so one episode at a time, as it would be aggravating to wait two weeks before Shiroe appears in the story again.
The opening revealed a lot of characters, including lots of shots of whom I believe in Kanami, the former leader of the Debauchery Tea Party group (who is not present in Japan). Maybe it'll follow her adventures in Europe? The Cataclysm affected the entire world, after all. That might help avoid filler, though if her story doesn't come to interact with Shiroe's it's going to be frustrating (it hasn't done so yet in the LNs). The opening itself kept the song from the first season, which was an excellent choice.
It's also worth pointing out the animation studio changed, and the animation with it. My impression is that the art is better, but different. Shiroe in particular looked different enough that a couple times it felt disconcerting. Taken from loghorizonfunfacts's tumblr, here's a sample of the different art styles:
Anyway, off to a good start. I think action will be much more prominent in this season, as there is a lot of fighting in volumes 6 and 7 (and a lot of strategizing as well).
Edit: Only thing I think that bugs me right now: If Shiroe needs gold to hold the cathedral from Plant Hwyaden, don't they have the same problem? Shiroe said all the gold from every adventurer in the entire world wouldn't be enough to hold the buildings, so how does the other guild solve the issue?
After reading up more on Log Horizon (yes, I am geeking out, excuse me for a moment), someone pointed out this character in the opening:
Potentially a major spoiler from volume 8, which hasn't been translated yet... That's Roe2, Shiroe's alternate female avatar who is a level 90 summoner. She apparently gained her own consciousness during the Apocalypse and shows up in the newest volume.
Speaking of volume 8, apparently it's out but not translated yet... unless anyone wants to help me find a translated version? Pretty please?
Only watched LH2 ep 1 so far of hte new season, but it looks promising. At first I thought the animation had taken a step backwards for some reason, but I think it's just the new artstyle that I need to get used to.
Also watched the first episode of Kiseijuu (aka, Parasyte). I think it was really well done. The manga is showing its age a bit, and the updates (such as smartphones and tablets instead of just TVs) flow seamlessly. So does the animation, which was primarily what I was worried they would stick to. The style is similar to the manga, but fleshed out and better drawn. The only thing I might not have liked so much was showing Migi's entrance in a flashback, as someone without knowledge would be like "Snake? What snake?" at the beginning. Granted, within ten minutes you find it all out, but I just didn't care for the flow.
Parasyte is pretty cool. Definitely going to keep watching.
Sanzoku no Musume Ronja is weird. I really want to like it but the animation is making me crazy. You have absolutely gorgeous backgrounds and scenery but the people all look like badly animated cell shaded video game character from the early 2000s. It's incredibly jarring and kind of hard to watch.
I also watched the first couple episodes of Ore, Twintail ni Narimasu. I was expecting it to be totally trashy, and it most certainly was, but it was the hilarious kind of trashy, not the terrible and unwatchable kind. I'm going to give it another episode or two at least.
I think I read that book. That the one with the transforming aliens that take over people's faces and become like knives and such? Except the one dude who has an alien take over his hand and it turns into a giant penis?

You're gonna have to be more specific. That sounds like three different animes I've watched.
