If you liked Pitch Black, you'll like Riddick. Hand waving most of Chronicles of Riddick was pretty lame, but it bombed & Riddick had a really small budget.
Upside is, even with the small budget, it looked pretty good. He even gets a cool CGI alien-dog pet! Unfortunately, after the hand waving Chronicles beginning, it's pretty good for awhile. The 2nd act is weaker. The third act is pretty much Pitch Black with new monsters. But it also has Starbuck's boobs in it, so there's that.

I agree, Riddick was a decent movie. I had my small grievances (repeating Pitch Black's and almost completely discarding Chronicles) but it was definitely still good overall. Dave Bautista and Katee Sackhoff were cool, I wish Karl Urban had more screen time but he's getting too big to do stuff like this now... Diesel and Twohy did well considering what they were given.
I still think Katee Sackhoff must have fallen on hard times if she showed her boobs, but then again I think most female actresses in Hollywood are that desperate... just my opinion.
