Maybe I was just reading too much into it. I just always wonder what the writers' intentions are with these little things - they seem to like little details that have bigger importance.
Well, in Fire and Frost they had Finn having some wet dreams about Flame Princess. Then he ruined his relationship with Flame Princess by inadvertently letting his true feelings about their relationship, like how she can't even kiss him without melting down. And in the latest episode he tried to hook back up with the Princess and has still come to realize that he's not anywhere near her maturity level. And now has to fix things up with Flame Princess again. I wonder how, if at all, they will make Flame Princess x Finn work again.

I think they'll get back together. Finn will intervene as she eventually messes up the Fire Kingdom with her new "100% Honest" laws.
Yeah, she will learn that lying is a necessity to keep things civil. Finn will be there and quickly forgive her. Plus with cinnamon bun there things are obviously going to go downhill relatively quickly.
It is also worth noting that PB was working on making FP more stable so next time Finn and FP get romantic they don't destroy Ooo.

Well, PB was going to stabilize her by removing her emotions so she didn't ever feel that way. So PB's experiments wouldn't have ended well for Finn and the Flame Princess.

Hmm I see your point. When I first heard it I thought she was just going to break the link between her emotions and whatever regulates her temperature. It would not cause her to be one of those unemotional drones ala Dragons Age but something that can be a bit less unstable.
At the end, after she gave the amulet to Finn, it showed her back in her humanoid appearance with the claw arm. The problem is she left that behind at the radioactive river.
Wasn't she the ghost in that one Clue-like episode where they were all dressed fancy like?
Yes. She shows up near the end when Jake, Lady, and everyone is pulling the prank on Finn. Finn thought he was getting revenge on Jake for the Birthday party prank on the train, but Jake figured it out and turned it around on Finn. This ghost appears and makes freaky stuff happen, first time she tried to communicate with him I think. Finn thought it was part of Jake's hijacked prank, but Jake said he had no idea what he was talking about. After figuring out that it was real, Finn locked the memory in his "vault" where he keeps everything that scares him. Including clowns and the ocean.
He opened the vault in the episode with the Worm King in his dreams. I think this ghost appeared then too (cause it was locked in there at the time).
I was kind of hoping at the end that PB would say something about the experience with her and the armless girl. Expand on the info a bit. Like whether or not this girl was human, potentially related to Finn. That's one part of the universe that hasn't been explored yet that I really want. Finn's origins, his parents, where the humans went, how Finn was left behind, whether or not Susan Strong is a human. If she is a Human I wonder why Finn hasn't persued her more...
Time Sandwich: Didn't like it very much. Thought it was kind of a throw-away episode. And a waste of Magic Man, who in the past has done really funny/cruel transformations, and has been one of the few enemies that Finn & Jake are basically powerless against. He also whispered "I'm not coming back" in the last episode he was in, and I know he's a liar, but I thought it kinda sucked that he just came back for a trivial reason in this episode.
The Vault: liked it a lot, and that's before I even realized that the Green Lady had appeared twice before. I do wonder how PB reconciles her disbelief in magic with her magic amulet; I guess she just assumes it's science she doesn't understand yet. I also wonder if all the other candy people are all hundreds of years old and PB hasn't been able to create any new citizens without that amulet. A lot of the creations she has made recently have turned out poorly: Goliad, Lemongrab(s), Zombie potion.
That would be a rather interesting episode. If they go into more detail about that particular amulet. Although I have a sneaky suspicion that the Lich is going to be the one that ends up somehow using it to get back to Ooo or some ******** like that.
Finn still has no luck with the ladies. He's getting shot down all the time now.
Finn: "Jeez, did I just get shown up by Cinnamon Bun?"
I'm wondering now if Finn x Flame Princess is going to happen. Cinnamom Bun deserves some lovin' too, I guess. And those would be some really sloppy seconds for Finn... I'm starting to wonder if maybe Finn will find the answer to the Humans' fate next season, and meet a working relationship with someone of his own species, but I don't think it's likely.
I'm looking forward to the next episode. More Simon/Ice King background reveal. Apparently he gets turned back into Simon and goes to find Betty, his girlfriend, or wife, what ever, revealed to be the "Princess" he subconsciously seeks out. I have only read the Synopsis, so I don't know how Betty would have survived as long as Simon has due to the immortality effects of the Crown.
