Without reading the rest of the thread, I figured here was as good as any a place to say that the Stardust Witch Meruru song on the soundtrack to Oreimo is pretty awesome. I think it was sung by the VA for Nanoha or something.

If you can find an anime convention or a shop nearby you can definitely buy them. I know there are some Calgary but I've never been. A friend told me about 'em.

That would be Otafest (atleast as far as convetions go, there are several stores), Edmonton has one as well a couple months later called Animethon. I can always point kirby in the direction of some stores to find stuff, your best bet is to ask around at random comic/hobby type stores that sell anime/manga related goods if you want a store front purchase, most places won't have a very wide variety in stock CD wise, but most will be willing to order stuff if you know what you're looking for. Otherwise just use the intertubes to order CDs.

I'm a dork and adore Ayumi Hamasaki. Her most "memorable" anime related songs are from the Inuyasha soundtrack, "No More Words" and "Dearest." My favorite non-anime albums from her are Ayutrance 1-3, which has some really nice remixes from some big names - Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond, etc.
