I suspect that the definition of "hearing" will be stretched beyond belief, but we'll see. Would be curious to actually measure the amount of time spent asking questions and actually listening to answers vs pontificating about what they want people to believe.

Ok. So apparently just the first in a series of hearings, but... It took until 1:24 minutes into a 2 hour presentation before the asked the first witness a question. So, um... not a "hearing". You know, where you ask questions and then "hear" the answers? This was a presentation of allegations, and a pretty weak one at that. I'm sure it'll be quite effective on low attention span viewers though, so there is that.

What do you call a trial where only the prosecution is allowed opening statements, only the prosecution is allowed to call witnesses, only the prosecution is allowed to question witnesses, only the prosecution is allowed closing statements, and the defense is... well... not allowed in the room?
The January 6th hearings. It's a joke.
You do get that "testimony under oath" only has weight if both sides get to question the witness, right? It's precisely why we only allow witnesses to testify for one side if the other side gets to question them under oath as well. But, hey, why bother with these silly procedural things, right? We're trying to get to The TRUTHtm.
Testimony absent cross examination is not really testimony. It's cherry picking words to influence people. And pretty blatant at that. Not surprising that once again we see the Left feeling that the only way they can "win" is if they are the only ones allowed to speak. They're so afraid to actually have to stand up to scrutiny and questions that they have to retreat to "safe spaces" where only their words are heard. Um... Those safe spaces are rapidly shrinking as the bulk of normal sane people realize just how ridiculous the whole thing is.
And yeah, this goes well beyond this silly set of hearings. Is this really what they want to hitch their wagons to? A bunch of half statements, impressions, and innuendo? Weak. And frankly, I don't think doubling down (yet again) on the very thing that has people pissed off at you is a great strategy.
