Me and IC are fighting again. We've always had a tenuous relationship as my rig is W8.1 and Win PCap from the IC setup.exe refuses to install. So, after uninstalling Win PCap from Programs and Features and using the uninstall.exe in the EQItem folder and reinstalling the latest setup.exe and installing the latest Win PCap failed, I used Revo uninstaller to rip out everything related to IC and Win PCap, resinstalled, and then installed the latest Win PCap again.
No dice, I get:
etting up session: Client port 53706, Server port 20063. SKey is 0x61d9e038.
Session timed out - 20 seconds idle - resetting.
Setting up session: Client port 64680, Server port 2272. SKey is 0x51f6ebb8.
Any clues for the clueless?

The item collector hasn't been patched yet for the last EQ patch. This is the reason why it's not reading information from the game.
I'll check with the item collector developer to see if he has made any progress on patching it.

I haven't gotten a response back from Rswiders yet on where he is at on the item collector. He was working on some back behind the scenes code for it last week and we haven't heard from him since then.
I'll be working with ZAM with their in house reverse engineers and C++ developers soon to see what we can do about helping out with the item collector.

You're probably running an old version before we updated it to auto update. Uninstall and download at http://lucy.allakhazam.com/static/itemcollector/setup.exe to update to the new version.

Are you opening up the program before logging into EQ? Or have you zoned since opening it up while playing EQ?
Are you running on a ethernet network card or wireless? If wireless, are you on Windows 10?

I have tried opening the IC before I log in to EQ and after I log in to EQ. I have zoned several time with it open. I am using a wireless NIC and am running Windows 10. (I have the alternate Winpcap for Windows 10). This was working prior to the June EQ patch (and rswieders going MIA). So I'm not sure what else could be it..
Oh and no hardware/software changes since then either.

Spoke too soon about EQIC but I noticed this problem about 6 months ago. Yeah, yeah, I should have documented it then. My defense: OOH SHINEY!
The collector stops responding in OT unless Quiet Mode is selected which means either I have QM on and can't see anything in EQIC window except enter/leave zones and when the program wants to send item updates to the server.OR leaving QM off and EQIC working in most zones but never in OT.

Do you have a ethernet network card as well? The windows 10 winpcap doesn't work with wireless cards. The other versions of winpcap that work on wireless cards only work with previous versions of Windows. If you have a ethernet card, you can just run a cat5 cable to your router and then select that network card for the item collector to use in the settings and then it should pick up items in game.

Try clearing your cache and cookies. This is from an old cookie that ZAM's ad provider fixed not long ago.

The current default for losing session is set for 20 seconds if it doesn't see any packets being sent between you and the server. Are you seeing this just in The Overthere(RoS)?

As I mentioned no hardware/software changes since it was working. As in it was working with my wireless NIC until this patch. So whatever is broken is as of this patch and (probably) not on my end as nothing has changed (except EQ patches of course.)

How long does it take for the item collector to recognize that you upgrade to premium? I got 'Error: Permission denied, incorrect login or not premium'
I have verified that I an entering the same password as when I log into Zam.

Try logging out of the site and back in.
I was able to make a level 1 on FV and upload to my profile. However there seems to be a bug with profile uploading the wrong items right now and I think it has to do with some scripts that we're waiting on ZAM to fix. Let me know if it uploads wrong items for your character if you are able to after logging out and back in.
