So, I just watched an PBS documentary on the organization of the Civil Rights March on Washington in 1963. Dr. King's speech brought me to tears (again). The only other documentary that has ever done that to me was a part of the one covering Bobby Kennedy's funeral train as they played one of his speeches.

Mahalia Jackson is awesome.

I watched a segment of TruTV's coverage of some San Diego "Hot 100" (weekly) bikini stupidity and just assumed gbaji was in attendance (every time).

Really, Mahalia Jackson is awesome.

I'm having an nasty relapse on the neuro-whatsit and can't hardly see a gorram thing out of the one remaining good eye.

Mahalia Jackson can really sing, you guys.

Heading an corner kick into the goal was a fantasy of mine as a young soccer player. Uruguay totally made my day (I don't follow futbol, but man, was that cool)

You should listen to Mahalia Jackson on youtube.

Was the Merovingian an program or a human who gamed the system +1?

Direct me to the bit of the movie where this is told/implied. I've watched it many times and have not caught it.

....please?

What's a Merovingian? I'm too lazy to google it.

Nevermind, I lied. Google says it's a bunch of dead French guys.

We're all on the Uruguay hate train right now because of Suarez, can't go around liking anything they did now.

So here is another header scored out of a corner (though a corner passed back first before heading into the 16).

The Oracle mentions that the Merovingian is one of the oldest of them. Since the Oracle is a program, it stands to reason that the Merovingian is also a program. This would also explain why he's apparently been around for many, many cycles of the revolution thing..

Every night in the early hours, the forums are attacked by spammers. When an admin removes the thread, it kind of just "hides" it, so you only see a few legit threads.

The Asylum would be a little more enticing to those of us who don't post there if it wasn't like 90% political ****.

It's not right now, maybe only 30% political ****. Though I imagine that'll change as we get closer to elections.

When one door closes another opens. The grass might not only be greener on the other side, it might be of better grade.

Maybe being freed-up from his current relationship will allow Angrymonk to meet a gamer-girl whose fettish will be giving bj's to a dude playing an mmo.

Maybe we should try and get the long time posters one of those before we go giving them away to everyone who can create a ZAM account and post a couple hundred times. You know like a loyalty reward program or something.

To be fair, though, shameless +1ing doesn't really contribute to a conversation much.

It's not healthy to let it build up like that, or it will happen when you least expect it.
