I don't mean to sound snarky, but I'm honestly curious... is there any reason to be a 50 ARM besides to be 50? Are there any recipes that are difficult enough that it requires you to be 50 to have a good success rate? I'm just curious if there is any reason for any crafting class to be rank 50, or if they are all like Weaver.

Congratulations Awe! As a member of AweSome's LS i can confirm that competition to be the first to 50 was fierce and we have several members very close, and this was clearly a motivation. But I think all would also agree that SE need to get their finger out and introduce more 40+ receipes urgently, we need the challenge!

I know there's 45 synths such as Vintage Haubergeon which uses pretty rare mats so a level buffer is always nice. Also once they add in the new synths, if any are 45+ the people stopped at 40-45 are going to have days if not weeks of work before they can even start to use them.
Just something to think about.

there is 0 point to being 50 for anything. there are no hnm's & the only nm content is popped with Leve quests. the only reason to go for 50 is to do it.
/spice - the only competition we have is who can we chat with in /l . pvp? hnm?

When Pvp and HNM come around, I don't see many other shells besides yours that will compete with us. Maybe a JP shell or 2.. idk.

Actually, no offense, but Metal Robot got many High ranked crafters, but when it comes to DoW/DoM they are averaged between Rank 30-40s. Prismatic Llama got more players on DoW/DoM jobs at late 30s up to mid 40s then Metal Robot, so there is other competition to look out for ;)
I for myself don't bother rushing to 50. I'm fine with reaching 50 on like January(36 GLD, 32ARM, 32BSM), since there is no reason to be 50 at all and there prolly won't be until PS3 release, if not later. The only reason I'd go for Rank 50 is, that I can focus on other things like subcrafts or subclasses more <.<
