The run from the Farron Perimeter Bonfire to the Abyss Watchers is the easiest farm point in the game. Step out enough that the Darkwraiths activate their path, and then follow the right wall to get the others. Once you get tot the doorway just kill the surviving DWs.

Ears you farm the two knights at the Anor Londo bonfire, don't bother with the third red-eye knight as it's not worth the effort. Use the souls you earn to max out your Rusted Coin stock. Dregs you can get from Aldritch's bonfire, you only need 10 for the spell so it goes faster than the rest. Mound-makers is the really annoying one because you have to deal with the Skeleton Boulder right next to the bonfire.

Everything I've heard about ears is that they seem to have a lower drop rate than the rest. Also, faster farming for grasses is to repeatedly kill the three Ghrus either next to the Farron Perimeter or Keep Ruins bonfires, though the latter has the risk of one of the three falling off the bridge. Though the circuit out there is great if you also need tongues. I'm twenty in so far.

Be out of town for a day or so, then the grind continues.

Perhaps halfway through NG+. Three miracles and one sorcery to go. More farming ahead of me.

The buddy who I'm more or less borrowing the game from has the season pass, so score! And speaking of scores: Plat GET.

So that puts me at three plats. DS1, DS3 and DA2. Because I'm apparently a masochist.

Gratz! I still have to finish farming, beat King Ermac the Nameless, and do my +1 and +2 ring runs.

I couldn't work up the will to play it today. Maybe tomorrow. More likely Friday night, since we're doing a Higurashi marathon tomorrow and Thursday when my buddy comes into town.

I'm digging it so far. It's purty, atmospheric and all that. When I realized it was coming out I decided to shake off the rust and start a new Dex toon from scratch, got to about level 40 ish and cleared cathedral since last week. Then I decided to mess around on my quality guy who is at the last boss but has not finished to NG+ yet to be poised for DLC. He is like 90 ish. Took him into the DLC today. So far still challenging in places, some neat encounters early where they throw to the wolves. ;) And some other interesting new beasties. I am able to just power through some stuff based on how good quality + sunlight sword +5 is so maybe level 60-70 might be more of a sweet spot for challenge. But I don't really mind being stronk, I've still died what feels like a sufficient number of times to keep it tense so, yeah digging it.

Made a winter fashion souls blend from some of the new armor and got myself a nifty new shield. Looking forward to playing some more later tonight. Also found some weapons that will work neat on my new Dex toon so after get done with this run I may sneak in early and under powered just to get a couple of them on my Dex toon and then come back after Dran castle. (which is reccomended by From at the beginning of the DLC as about right power wise)

Where is the start point for the DLC content? Do you need an item like the other games?

Cathedral of the deep. Guy will be right next to the bonfire at the alter, He has the item. He was not there for me until I enabled the DLC on the PS4 though even though I had season pass, but that was just me forgetting that it did not auto update DLC like steam.

You should, as one of the primary story NPCs of the first DLC is the cause of the story in the second one.

I'll definitely be getting it. Biggest problem now is deciding which one of my hoard of characters to take through. I went on a binge recently and now have like 10 level 100+ characters. I've deleted level 75+ toons just to make fresh builds. My last guy who was DEX/MAGIC is pretty solid though since I can get crazy AR on crystal magic weapon and sharp infusions with 60 int 40 dex. Might use that toon first. My STR/VIT tank guy is pretty solid as well with Yhorms shield and full Millwood armor. Every time I play him I am like "Never go full Millwood" Smiley: lol

Anyway playing Horizon Zero Dawn in the mean time. It does not suck. In fact I quite like it. FarCry mixed with Witcher and some brand new things of it's own. It's not ground breaking but it just does so many little things right that it's a pretty good play. Well after you get through the WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too long exposition and tutorial in the beginning and actually get into the meat of the game.

I picked up the ringed city theme from having the season pass. Enjoying the new DLC so far. Decided to take my pure mage through first since she was the first one who could solo Friede last dlc. (phase 3 is so cheap to melee solo lol) And I was feeling confident with her.

Impressions so far: **** angels and **** Pyromancer zoey. That's as far as I've had time for so far. There all down and it's good times. Smiley: smile

Wonder how long until that one gets the audio forcibly muted like the "Dark Souls with your mates" one.

Love that DS community half toxic, half jolly cooperative, all creative.Smiley: nod I took a break from the new DLC to for no gud raisin to make a faith/str guy. I can bawl through the game in a few hours now sans any farming, which is kind of satisfying in a way.

Holy shirtknuckles though the first boss of the new DLC... I beat it eventually on the mage but I have no idea how any of my melee guys will beat that encounter solo. I can always jolly co-op but I have this stupid pride thing where I want to solo a boss first before I start co-oping on any build. *shrug self rules I guess.

At least you made it to the first boss, I'm still getting annihilated by the murkmen cause I can't figure out the range and hitbox locations on the giant dash move.
