2) There are actually headshots in this game. Tested on one of the tutorial enemies, body shot with a wood arrow did 80% damage while a headshot one-shotted them.
3) The dogs have an improved version of Bloodborne's dog A.I.
Thanks for the heads up on the katana, it only cost me my boss souls.
Rofl. Well um your supposed to go to Firelink first then cheese the Master. Because seriously you are not winning straight up he will waste you. Off with the cliff or range attack kite time. First boss gives **** for souls 1-2k?. The master gave you 2k though. There is a farm spot soon you can make it up in like 5-10 minutes so don't sweat it.
You can also stagger and get viscerals to the head of some mobs without a parry/sheild break/backstab. Which is pretty cool integration.
Other non story or content thing I learned today is that you should not go naked, I was doing that on my knight some because I had no light armor yet, so I removed helm, gloves etc. Put at least the lightest armor in every slot if you want fast roll. Armor has this new default base defense with absorption on top for heavier stuff. That's kind of why Master is early because that armor is light as hell and simulates nakedness. Roll has changed its now Under 30% fast roll. Over 70% Fat roll. Everything in between is medium roll. Some testing still being done on small adjustment to range of roll and stamina recharge rate at different spots throughout the range.
Ima talk mechanics some. And just spoiler surprise mobs bosses story and areas. Agreeable to us three who still post on DS threads? :)

Nice I usually don't read Forbes for exactly that adwall reason. But I liked this article and quite agree with it. Don't mess with art just because you don't understand or like it. Just let it be.
I think most people when they stick with it after the learning curve realize they had nothing to be afraid of in the first place.
Souls Book of Evagalista passage 05.7 Word of our Lothric: "This game will teach you about stuff. Stuff about yourself."

It's weird to me to have two bosses literally across from each other in one area.
zomg did you kill the old lady? you monster.
What?! I remembered where in Lothric the Dancer boss was from the DS3 beta so I went into the opposite end of the 3 red/1 blue knight courtyard and ran into Vordt.

Yeah The dancer is not supposed to be fought until much later. You only fight it if you kill the lady who gives you the way of blue newbs. So there is only one boss there, the frosty doggy. Who is btw a right pain in the *** until you realize in phase 2 his mace slam hits aoe all around him and you can no longer tickle his belly during that phase. Also he sucks without enough HP. One shot. One shot. One shot. I think his message is "So you did a strategy that made you feel all like the man. Try that in phase 2 *****."
I'm pretty deep in now on my Dex toon.Like 4-5 zones later not counting the starter. Game is amazing so far. I see 400 hours in my future.

And for no raisin (drunk) I rolled a warrior, made him a sunbro, and co-oped the **** out of Vort and the Tree. Northen armor made the doggy, the easiest doggy evah. The ax aint half bad either.
I think also I was just procrastinating on fighting phase 2 of the Farron Watcher on my Dex toon. It's probally not even that hard sober, but I could not test that at that point.

I am all that is Jolly Co-op. Also I have become a Gdam monster. Butcher Blade +4 and great shield. My AR is so damn high it hurts. I'm just hanging out killing the Abyss watchers and gdam it feel gud.

Um, go upstairs. Exit from the right. Collect nice things.
. You're talking about the main exit and the door where the katana NPC was right? Cause that's the one I was speaking of, and I cannot find any other exits in Firelink.

Not the main exit bud. You will notice that Firelink has an internal set of stairs that leads to a balcony around the shrine. Let's say you just came into Firelink from the main entrance. Head right. There is an opening that leads to the tower on the opposite side of katana boy. You can go up there, get stuff. Also be on the look out for the roof, another small balcony and possibly a illusionary wall.

No worries. I just found it because I was totally and completely lost at first. I did not realize the bonfire is the port on my first toon. So I was trying really hard to find where to go next.
Holy **** Heavy Dark Sword +3 on a strength build (36 STR now) is utterly sickdiculous. I thought the Butcher knife was dirty but this thing is just not fair to mobs. I was changing up my fashion souls for variety and realized I am missing just the legs for Lothric Knight set, so I went back to farm them. Hot knife through butter. They are not scary at all now. Revenge of the wrekt is mine!
Dude, there is a crystal lizard behind Firelink. You need to drop onto the roof from the bridge to get to it. Also there is an Estus Shard and the Crow NPC at the top of the Shrine. And the SIlver Serpent Ring! I am so hyped I bought this key now!
