There was definitely one in the Recent Visitors list after I reported one of the threads, but I don't think they did anything. I can't remember who it was.

There, should be back to normal in here now. I'm getting really tired of those guys. They and the fake passport idiots are the same people. They have an apperently unlimited pile of different IP addresses, make usernames in batches using a pile of different enough e-mail addresses that I can't pre-nuke them, and they're willing to thread spam within the limits of the post rate limiter. The only glimmer of hope is that the one service they are offering is enough of a federal offence that I might be able to get the FBI interested in shutting them down, but they are also based outside the U.S. so thats a slim hope at best.

We have a tool to correct when they flood spam like this now, but it still requires someone to be awake to use it. I'm thinking these guys are botnet backed because of the huge IP pool. so we realistically may not be able to stop these floods from happening periodically. We can probably mitigate the effects though.

IT's likely that they have a base of operations in the US somewhere, even if that's not where they are running this specific operation from it. given enough data, the FBI could likely track it down.

The phone numbers were all India based Skype or virtual PBX numbers of some sort. Just the fact that the numbers were international and not U.S. based makes me inclined to believe that they really were foreign based, though why spam in english then? It's just wierd
