Beat the game last night (again) on my female noble human rogue. The last fight was really easy, even on hard; managed to keep up a steady stream of ranged damage on the archdemon, so I hardly had to deal with the adds at all. Then again, I did go in with two mages (hardly used Morrigan at all until the final battle zone; but having two mages makes "hard" rather "easy"). I think I also got the best ending: Pretty much everyone ended up doing well, except the dwarf who wanted to open a chantry; he got himself killed in some unrest, and the Chantry thought about an Exalted March against the dwarves in response. But Alistair and Anora ended up married and Alistair surprisingly became a good king. Yay!
Started Awakening; so far I'm liking it, but it feels a bit rushed... and some of the humor and new characters are a bit forced. also I dislike that Oghren went from a gruff, brash, but steadfast dwarf to what appears to be comic relief. It's a fine line but I thought Origins played it well; Awakening, not so much. Also, while the Alistair cameo was nice, it was also disappointing that I don't get him back on my side
Edit: And I have NO idea what to do for Awakening talent builds!

Whichever talents trees you started in Origins -- finish them.
Is there a bonus for doing this? My rogue is all over the place (I played her as a backstabbing machine), but then I heard rogues make good archers so I picked up some archery talents... then I heard they're viable tanks for the super-duper hard boss in Golems of Argharghargh, so I picked up some tanking talents... so she has pretty much a bit of everything. No way I'm resetting her; I have like 30-40 extra skill points thanks to bugging up the Fade, and I lose them if I reset her stuff. I'm starting off around 65 Dexterity and 70 Cunning (which is apparently now useless for archery, sigh...). I figure Legionnaire should be the last one, then pump up Dex and Str?
Would be more for the achievements. :D
What I found though is that at Awakening levels, you really need to invest in close ranged stuff. It's fine having an some archer talents, but you really need to prepare to switch to melee or have some sort of melee 'Get away from me!' ability to deal with multiples. I got way more mileage out of the dwarf rogue over Nathaniel once I caved and switched them up. :/ I did plow through Nightmare mode on a mage Warden though, not a rogue. The only fight that seriously gave me trouble to the point where I actually dropped the difficulty level out of annoyance was a surprisingly irritating fight involving two orange-named dragons. YMMV though!
