Didn't know where to post this, but figured it may effect some of the people that come to this site. And because S.978 effects all games, General Video discussion seemed the best.
So what is S.978? It is a Bill going through the Senate that could pretty much K.O "Lets Play" videos and all kinds of other "copy write" material. It has a long way to go, but it needs to be out there.

Seems it has a few things added in text beyond the commentary, about how the infringement would have to exceed 5000 dollars of fair market value to be a felony. I don't believe game play footage would have a value, where as things like TV Shows and Movies do. The value of a game is actually playing it, not watching it (unless you were "playing" Xenosaga, I guess...).
Wording, bad. But I think it's a bit of a stretch to think that they'd go after Lets Play videos.
