I know this is a bit late, but...
OK, 1200 Power is OK at level 41, but 1500 morale is a bit low. Try to find some jewelry, weapons and armor to improve your vitality. Next, work on your deeds! As a warden, you really want Innocence and Zeal to boost your melee defense (lowers the amount of damage you take from melee attacks) and Empathy to boost your armor value. There is also a virtue that increases your vitality, who's name I cannot remember.
Next, remember your gambits! You have threat builders, defense boosts, damage (direct and over time) and you have self heals.
For threat, remember Precise Blow: [Fist][Spear] This gives the most single target threat, as well as threat over time. It is your bread and butter as a warden on single targets.
Use War Cry on multiple mobs [Fist][Shield] to get their attention, then go ahead and give each a precise blow if they start to leave.
Once you have their attention, go ahead and use Goad [fist][fist] to help generate more threat over time. By this time, you should have the trait that gives you an additional three Goad targets for a total of 6.
Around this level, you get Dance of War: [Shield][Fist][Shield][Fist]. This gambit steals threat from the rest of the group, plus gives you a 30 second evade buff.
As far as survival goes, the first 10-15 seconds of a pull are the scariest part of warden tanking. (It becomes easier when you get Masteries, though) You want to lock down threat and get your defensive buffs up ASAP, then you want to start your self-heals. After that, keep an eye on the little icons below your character icon in the upper left corner of the screen. When the buffs wear off, put them back on.
