Limsa Lominsa - Equipment Upgrades?Follow

I have started there and I cannot find an NPC to get new armor from.. I'm an Archer. Also looking for where I can purchase the next bow ? I should probably start crafting and maybe I could just make my own stuff. It's so weird to have no auction house.

Also, is the game choppy as all hell in town for everyone else?
