I would call customer support and demand a higher-up to talk to. A new EQOA key would mean a new account, as in you loose all your characters. Don't lettem do that to ya.

Also, if you're already paying $30/mo, get the station access thing. It's $30/mo + EQ2 benefits for ya. You also get to play any other station access game, the fee covers them all. You do however need an account key for them, and you'll also prolly need your EQOA account to be like connected to your EQ2 account. So I'd ask about that too.
