We had an
argument discussion on general about this. I think if aion went with a system more like FFXI has with the minimal bazaars and set a time limit for bazaars in the capitals then it would drive the players out to the fortress/citadel to run their bazaars/stores. I counted 10+ players selling a single junk item in Pandaemonium last night for 200 million, and their message was went to sleep, will be back later. The argument is that its a Korean game and this is how they all are, just deal with it or cancel. I can recall one game that did not have the private shops right off the top of my head and that was RF Online, nobody complained there.
I can't help to think how much of this is related to secondary accounts and those players just setting up a toon on the opposing side to lock them out of their capital. Personally I have yet to have a queue issue going into pandaemonium (knocks on wood), but it is probably only a matter of time.
Personally (and bludwyng we talked about this in the ZAM legion chat), I think they should do away with the private stores all together. Double the capacity of the broker, and just run with that. One of the biggest reasons I joined Aion was because the graphics were amazing, especially in Pandaemonium. I didn't pay 60 bucks for the CE version just to login to a endless sea of "Best prices around, please check it" and "sucky sucky 5$" (yes I saw that store last night).
Thats my
lol.
