How do you deal with rogues as paladin :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

I am playing a ret pally but rogues i really odd to fight against.

They appear out of nowhere and zaps/stuns and once they do that, I cannot move for 5 seconds or so.

Then they just hit me 3-4 times and im dead. Doing that time i cannot move, heal or attack. How do you deal with this?

As it's probably kind of important, what level are you?

Trinket and stun? Bubble then Lay on Hands? Those not working or not options at your level?
