Looks to be about 3 GB in size, you can now download it.

No, this does not mean maintenance is over.

Yup 3017 MB if you want to be exact. Only 10 hours left until projected maintenance time expires. Then I have to go to work. Bah.

The 24 hours is the longest it would last. In the maintenance notes its explained that it could be considerably shorter than that. So it's possible it will be back up sometime this evening (before 3 am). Course, knowing mmo patches, there will be some massive bugs that cause them to pull servers down for hot fixes, so realistically your bet on tomorrow night is probably right.

Depends on how FUBAR some of their hardware upgrades go. At the same time they're applying the version update to the client and servers, they're also supposed updating some of the infrastructure servers wholesale in preparation for the release to PS4.

With a million and a half active accounts... they clearly don't want to take any chances at all with the PS4 side of things.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic here or not...and I'm being honest about that!

I'm not sure if I was either. But shortly after I posted this, my office experienced The Great Toner Explosion of 2013. I didn't know a printer was capable of doing what happened in the print room. (I correctly diagnose a faulty drum and got a proverbial pat on the head from the hardware guy, as I helped mop up black toner powder from the floor.)

You just don't know what hardware is going to do sometimes, man. Smiley: disappointed

Now I wish I had Smiley: laugh Thankfully that particular printer was in the corner, and the cabinet next to it blocked the worst of the toner blowout from getting all over the room. And someone had the foresight to move the trash can right next to it before we started peeling away the highly carbonized paper from the inner guts.

Repair guy is coming tomorrow.

I turned on my ps3 earlier to check on the game and whalaa! Started downloading. Right now, everything is up to date, ready for me to pop out of bed and start playing.

I'll be spending the day doing quests to get me into all the new content dungeons.

I got to about 10% and my internet connection dropped for a minute. To my amazement the download had to restart from the beginning. It's like the year 1998 called and wants it's download client back.

so...at 00:00 PST does that mean the update will be live and can play it? or will they "turn it on" at somepoint during the day? (assuming maint isn't extended?). I'm anxiously awaiting the start button to turn GREEN!

Has SE given a reason why their downloader doesn't support resuming? Had to start all over just now. ;(
