There's a "Patch Notes" post a couple threads down that mentions Leves at level 35 giving about 5k more xp FYI. :)

Man I just reach 50 miner a few days ago to.

I did some levequests this morning for botany. The leve bonuses were much bigger. I had one that was the full 25% bonus which ended up doubling the rewards overall (4.5k + 4.5k xp), giving me an entire level (12 - 13) in one leve turn in.

My mining is 27, will be checking out the XP values this evening but sounds like they really gave us a massive buff!

I'm 32 Miner, and I want to take it to 50, but I already got Goldsmith and Armorer to 50, so not a whole lot of incentive there at the moment... but it's very tempting to level Botanist too now with the additional exp... I need to take Carpenter and Weaver to 50 so that could work! Smiley: grin

Weaver is currently my highest craft, at 31. I'm finding it hard to get motivated with this fleece garbage I know is coming.

I am looking forward to getting Miner (28) and Botany (32) some xp though :)

Pardon my math but +25% isnt the same thing as +100%.

Evaluations have always offered a bonus of up to +25% for 2/4 leves per camp, add in time/dificulty bonus and its more, if you are getting 4.5k + 25% bonus = 1.1k bonus + speed/dificulty, which i find hard to imagine is adding another 75%, unless they increased the evaluation bonuses.

Yeah, I'm just telling it as the game told me. The numbers don't add up but I did get 9k xp in one leve at level 12, where previously a 5% evaluation bonus was definitely giving me just 5% of the base.

I had just gotten my weaver to 40 yesterday with no fleece and very little Velveteen stuff I had an FC friend help me with materials but since you are a high lv Botanist FLAX is your friend if you have the patients Flax can take you pretty far just needs lots of lightning shards and just make Linen thread and cloth for awhile and you are there

Thanks for the encouragement!! I had planned on focusing heavily on flax for as long as possible. I had one stack of it and it's prime level for my botanist. I stopped gathering when I heard about this patch
Is fleece the final tier or is there something after it?

So it looks like the "bonus for speed and difficulty" was massively buffed. Just did a 25% +4, 4.6k base and 5.4k bonus.

XIVDB posted a data-mining dump, has the full list of XP boosts for gathering:

I had a much better time leveling Miner last night. I'm so happy about this change! I pretty much hated mining before last night, now it's my new favorite thing to do.

Crazy? Perhaps, but I like it! Smiley: grin

So 1.04 at 16 to 1.6 at 50. I was level 38, which is 1.45, which is why i said about a 50% increase.

Still feels stupid slow without rest exp + exp potion. Even leves are still slow, im sorry but why can a fisher do 1 leve for 90k exp and i can only get 30k?

You wanna know why the market gets flooded and prices keep droping/people keep under cutting?

Cause it takes me 700 items to level....I have been harvesting 100 of each item, selling the HQs, and banking the items on my retainer incase i ever need them, but after 1 level ive already cleared 100 of each item that i need banked for that tier, and that means 4 more levels of 700 items each, and all of that goes straight to the market.

Its not even worth selling some stuff because at 2-10 g a pop, whats the point of even listing it, i can vendor it for 1g each and save myself the time.

I'll agree the slow of pace of leveling fuels the oversupply and minimal demand of things since often a lot of synths are done solely to just flesh out the craft log. Best we can hope for is furnishing and other features giving a greater use variety to materials, but I wouldn't be so quick to just vendor things because people using them even at 1g a pop is better poofing them.

A method to convert NQs to HQs would go a long way in cutting supplies, though. Not sure what a good ratio would be, but maybe something like 5:1.
