I had to sift through a couple not so competent parties first...the group i won with still took around 8 tries before we were able to do it with no mistakes

All crafting classes 30->35 and all 35 quests complete.

Now time to grind bot/min frmo 35-40 for more materials :0(

Why do these gatherers level so slowly

I actually thought going 30-35 with Miner on Mythril Ores was really fast in comparison to 25-30! 35-36 seems to be taking an eternity though...

Are you guys using leves at all? I did mining 1-20 pretty easily over fri-sat with about 15 20 leves. I am capped on leves atm tho so i am not worried about saving them all for crafting class. If you are using leves does it slow down that much?

Yes I am using Leves. I've got about 20 saved up. Problem is I"ve got an event I need to clear but I'm too weak right now and I'm out of "story" atm until I beat the event so I'm just grinding to 40 and will do it then :-)

Didn't play much, but CNJ to 30 and ANC to 15 (WHM here I come!). Sorted my inventory a little, cleared some space. Ran Bukakke Manor with a scrub tank who lost mobs to my heal agro (I Cleric swap on the main target, so my heal agro is often very low on alternate mobs), he loved eating AoEs and told me that "as long as I heal [him] he should be fine". In that vein, he bit it on the final boss never getting out of AoE. So the PUG and I duo-ed all three of the adds an the last 30% of the boss (heroic victory!). That had to be my highlight, that and hanging out with Andyman and Rio Saturday morning (sorry Xiu for getting you woken up :P).

Got blacksmith from 20 to 28.

Fully equiped my Armorer to have 349 Craftsmanship, and 319 Control. Made my HDS Flanchards (and dyed them pink to match my HDS Body).
Beat Garuda, then went back and went through AK, cleared mobs, and defeated Hydra.

Spent 4 hours watching Titan videos. It is funny to see a fight where the tank pretty much does nothing, and the party gets killed (with the tank not being able to do ANYTHING about it).

Completed my Carpenter quests, so I now have my fat-saw.

Geared out my Miner, so I now have 1% chance of HQ on Unspoiled nodes:).

And the ever loving "More CM"....

Did some crafting, but compared to you guys, it seems i didn't really accomplish anything.

Having a hard time deciding if I really have the time needed to dedicate to the game right now. Seems like I can play for hours and get nowhere.

'Beat' Titan with effectively 7 ppl, MNK pal lie on the bottom floor after first minute or two. Then around 3% Hp it's my turn to die and watched the rest of the team killed Titan.

Now slowly working FSH (42) and ACN (also 42) to 50 as they are the last two non-50.

Got 3 pieces of DL for BRD, and failed getting MIN to 40 (fixing that right now)

I also discovered that my UI settings and screen sizing on my laptop make AK all but impossible since I can't see the purple line. Same fight on PC no issue multiple times... turns out its a matter of perspective. On PC I fight slightly over shoulder, it doesn't work on the last boss in AK on my laptop. Luckily two LS mates and a patient PUG tank worked through it until we discovered I needed to be in side view to see it. I thought it was a GPU issue, but it was all a matter of perspective. (I did have a bug the first go around where I couldn't target an add, but not getting the globe away is what killed us).

In return I've helped 3 of 4 parties without BLM kill Ifrit (the one all the DPS knew how already for the nails) so I feel slightly redeemed.

Wiped to Titan another 30 times or so. Still haven't beaten him. Still get turned down for server groups because "warriors can't tank Titan" even with 7k HP and an average ilvl of 72 ********* says I, lazy damn healers is what it is).

So, archer and lancer are now in the mid-teens. Just need LNC 34 so I can get Blood for Blood and I can try going in on Marauder DPS.

Finally got my first level 50: PLD!

Cleared CM, Praetorium, did a few AK runs. End game doesn't seem nearly as "toxic" as I've heard, people were generally very understanding and helpful (learned a lot! I think I could tank AK in my sleep now).

Maybe most importantly... dug up my old Zam account and posted on these forums for the first time since I quit XI years ago ^_^

Welcome back. :) I would like to hope people have settled down but I have a feeling you just got a little lucky. :( There are so many mean spirited people out there. Congratulations on 50! Another tank is wonderful news.

Holy hell. Smiley: jawdrop That is one expensive craft!

As for me, I actually spent the weekend doing mostly CM and Prae for tomes. Converted tomes to crafting materials and sold them for $$$. Also made my first mil and, like ASpaceman, blew it all on this beauty:

http://i.imgur.com/ZNiyKAl.png

It cost around 600k to make with all the materias. Kind of sucks, though, since here's how it went:

1) First meld is 100% so use that on the most expensive one (I should have melded a IV in but meh)
2) Second is..35% I think? This one took 7 attempts
3) Third one is...33%? Something like that. This one took 8 attempts

But then some luck blew my way:

4) Fourth one is like 11%. It took only 2 attempts
5) Fifth is around 7%. Took 2 attempts as well.

Still, you rig it so that you use the most expensive materia first. Losing 15 expensive materia sure put a damper on my budget.

I got archer to 34 around Friday. Quelling strikes is a MUST for a BLM. Shorter CD than raging as well so it's quite effective on fights where your tanks are swapping aggro and you can't go all out.

I decided to ditch botany and cooking and go with GSM/MIN for now. I'd like to craft my own rings next time instead of relying on another person!

Ran a bunch of FC mates through Titan, Ifrit, Chim, etc for their relics. I've apparently been designated the Titan HM coordinator since I apparently have a very calm voice if that makes any sense.

Did ADS on turn 2 for about 4 hours on Sunday to no avail. Our tanks were having difficulty with aggro and swapping. People were randomly standing in lasers and getting killed when they had rot. Passing rot went much smoother than last time. Overall, we got him to around 35% with about 5 people in the party being there for the first time. I have a feeling we'll easily down it this week. He sure is a royal pain!

Got WHM to 41, ran my first Stone Vigil, and pushed CLN up to 25!

Also finally just upgraded my ps3 storage to help with loadings. Won't get to test it for another week unfortunately until I get back in town Smiley: mad

Finished up most of my storyline missions, became a Flame Sergeant and closing in on lvl 50 BLM. So I'm looking forward to stay farming my end game gear and doing hard mode Primal.
