Things you want to see implemented in FFXIVFollow

What are some of the things from FFXI or other MMO's you want to see added eventually to XIV

I hope down the road we have some other central cities like Jeuno or Whitegate and perhaps a besieged type of event at the City. (basically a longer fate in the city)

I also hope to see something like merits added down the road.

My biggest thing would be a "vanity" gear option like LOTRO or Rift have, where you can still get the benefits of your ugly-*** armor while still appearing to wear, say, that cool shirt you have.

I wan to see a blist function for cross server.
Now more and more player trolling duty finder parties and SE should implement a cross server black list function so people will not be parties up with someone in their blist.
On Sept. 24, 2013 12:14AM, at Ifirit HM, 2 PLD shows up and one disconnect intentionally while the other keep training Ifirit to wipe party. The 2 PLDs are from the Free Company: PainTrain (Adamantoise).

I agree this would be a great addition...it always bugged me in XI that on my ranger I couldn't wear my AF2 looks wise and had to look at the Osode

This is a must add now that I think of it.

I'd also like to see more jobs like Ranger etc but i think that will happen for sure

I really miss Weapon Skills and Skill Chains!

There was a wonderful sense of team work when conducting skill chains in FFXI. I would love to see them incorporated somehow in FFXIV.

Could you imagine the screaming at people for ruining skill chains these days?
#7 Sep 24 2013 at 10:37 AM Rating: Excellent
Haha, I think it would be all right.. Missing a skill chain in FFXIV wouldn't be nearly as detrimental as it was in FFXI. Either way, people will just find something else to scream about with or without them... So we got nothing to lose!

I'd like an option on PC to load player characters in crowded areas the way the PS3 version does it which is this: Not many load until you're standing still and then just the ones around you load. My laptop which is significantly more powerful than the PS3 runs worse in towns because it's loading and displaying all player characters, causing halts and stutters.

Craft material storage akin to GW2. If you try to level Mining, Botany, and Fishing at once, you eventually won't have room on yourself and two retainers. And given the sheer volume you wind up producing to level these things, you will almost always have excess even if you did refine them into crafted goods. There are some exceptions like more frequently used materials for cloths, leather, etc., but I don't think I'll ever need 99 iron sand, but I'd hate to sell it just to suddenly need some later and have to buy someone else's 99 stack.

+1 My retainers are full of crafting mats I MAY need, and every time I clear them out and sell stuff I end up needing it 2 days later.

I want a cross-server friends list that will give me the option to queue up in the Duty Finder with someone from there... or give me the ability to summon/be summoned to another server temporarily to and from people on that friend list.

Also a Duty Finder blacklist.

As Seriha said, some added storage would be nice.
Also, I am not sure if this something or not, but I would like to see DoH recipes that could out due some of the high endgame stuff like DL, just seems that once you get to endgame, gear wise, DoH is pointless, but i could be wrong on this.

My top two:

-A class that isn't a Tank/Healer/DD (e.g., full support)
-Open-world content that isn't a zerg-fest FATE.

Cross-server friend/blacklists and vanity slots also seem like neat additions.

I think a better inventory sorting feature would be nice as well as a better way to compare gear with what you have equipped and what you are looking at in say the markets. Inventory is a mess right now but I am also trying to level up all crafts so it is somewhat expected.

You know, you can plug in basically any USB keyboard/mouse and it works on PS3.
The real problem is the PS3 doesn't display at a high enough resolution to give as much room as a typical PC's resolution.

This! I'd especially love a way for armor used in sets to be marked in some way. You can usually tell by the spiritbond meter if it's been used, but there's plenty of times where an item in a set might not have spiritbond yet.

I don't think this is the real issue, I think it's the fact you can't use Hotbars like the PC and other functionality that is blatantly missing on the PS3 UI in comparison to what's available in the PC. You can hook up a Mouse and Keyboard, but you can't use it in the same way as you can on a PC. From what I've heard this won't be happening on the PS3, but here's hoping that some improvement will come to the PS4 version.

You can't use them in controller mode on the PC either, which sucks.

This was what i was going to request.

I'd love to be able to use the "pc style" hotbars in addition to the crossbar while in controller mode, even if they need to be operated via keyboard/mouse.

As someone interested in leveling Carpenter, I'd like to be able to make furniture for the Free Company housing.

Speaking of FC housing, I hope they have a Company Chest in there, as well as everything else you'd find in an inn room (Comfy Bed, Summoning Bell, Armoire, even The Unending Journey).

To take that one step further, I also love how the crafting mats are automatically pulled from storage and so there is no need to run around with a ton of random crafting mats in your inventory. They do limit you to crafting at specific stations scattered throughout the world, but I prefer their system hands-down to that of FFXIV (in regards to the material management).

In my limited XIV crafting experience, I seem to always forget one crucial mat or I have grabbed the wrong amount. At that point I either have to run back to my retainer or I just buy the item from an NPC/market board - depends on how lazy I'm feeling at that particular moment. I would love to be able to take that part of crafting out of the equation.

The ability to see the stats for the gear you currently have equipped, when you are checking out the stats on other gear in your inventory or on the market. When you hover the cursor over a piece of gear, not only should the stats form that gear pop up (like it does now) but also a window showing what you currently have equipped in that slot.

Additonally, why does the window only tell you the change in dmg or defense, but not all of the other stats?

One or the other (or both) of these issues can hopefully be implemented in the near future.

That would be awesome. I'm the guy that always forgets one mat and has to go back to get it, I'm particularly bad at remembering that it takes 2 ingots to make a plate Smiley: mad
