The Kraken Club <ZAM> FC Meeting: Sunday, 8 pm ESTFollow

Maybe what we need is a place on our forum where crafters can make requests for materials they need... and then, if people happen to farm these extra materials, then they can place those mats in the chest to fulfill those requests. That would keep the chest from getting filled with useless stuff that nobody really wants/needs.

Or, maybe we could prohibit certain items from being placed in there... like, no raw materials. Why fill it up with copper and tin ores, when there could be stacks of bronze ingots instead? That kind of thing could help save room.

While we are at it, we need a place on our forum where we can put up the contact person who has lvl 50 in a particular craft. I automatically volunteer my services for free once I hit GLD lvl 50 to any aspiring Kraken Club black mage needing crafting or melding to make their relic weapon. Currently I am GLD 24 but I will keep grinding.

We could also have a rule such as no more than one or two stacks of the same material in the chest, or no more than one of each type of gear... and possibly have a level requirement for any gear/materia in there. Again, we need to take measures to keep out useless junk.

We could also implement the same general rule we have at my workplace... anything left in the chest for more than a week gets tossed.

It's certainly possible to create a rank that has access to the chest but is not an officer, the question really is whether we want to stratify members like that. It's worth discussing for sure.

I don't see the point in limiting this access... why should we?

I'm barely able to play compared to most people, so I have no votes up there. But I have helped people in the FC when I'm online and I have added some stuff into the chest as well as taken a couple of small things too.

I think telling somebody they are not good enough to access the chest is a bunch of rubbish if you ask me.

What's next? Will we have a bouncer at the door to keep the ugly people out of the cool people club when we get our housing?

I don't get into FC like that. I was in a Rank 5 FC. And there was only one xp action up. I asked howcome we don't add a craft action enhancement or something. The leader told me to "watch my word". I just left and I'm more viable than him in terms of crafts leveled etc and I can play heal job really good. I'll create my own damn FC, can't deal with ppl nonesense in the Virtual world. I have enough to deal with my "real boss".

Well guys, the issue is that you could have RMT posting as a real player, befriend someone, get invited, then go and swipe the chest. Has anyone thought about that? Read DareKnight's blogs for an EVE Online example of how this sort of work is pulled off. We put some pretty valuable quest related stuff in there to help folks along the way, and it would suck to have someone come along, jank our stuff, and then leave the FC. Just saying. There's a one year grace period on my job, for pretty much the same reason.

I honestly don't think there should be overly valuable items in the company chest. I agree that once we have a forum in place we should have a request platform for stuff like that.

I've been doing some of the behind the scene clean up on the chest.
I'm the one that goes through and organizes it, and if stuff sits to long I've been taking it out selling it and giving the money to Bartel for our house funding.
