I played with some naked galkas in thongs on a beach, died to an Eidlon that has a mouth on its crotch, and had a...blast playing BLM to 47/48. Loving the AF and can't wait to get the body.
I want to level some alt jobs soon for those awesome skeelz.

I made my first tier of materia melded HQ armor for my gladiator, just beat ifirt last night, going to get my armoring to level 23 so i can work on my second tier of HQ armor, iron this time! Prerty much this week will just be mostly me gathering and crafting! The hunt for HQ is so much fun!
Unlocked White Mage and got that up to 32 before putting it to the side to focus on crafting. I managed to take leatherworking to 5, mining to 7, weaving to 10, and botany to 17. I think the crafting bug has got me. I'm thinking of possibly starting up a few more.
I finished the main storyline and obtained my fancy new mount! Then I leveled arcanist up to 15, did all of the THM class quests and started on the BLM ones so I can get going working on my relic.
I did some re-running things to get other people caught up with me. Still so much to do but part of me is relieved that there is maint tonight so I can get some damn sleep lol.

Got WHM to 31 then went on to raise mining to 20 along with goldsmithing.
On my new character I spammed the log in screen getting constant 1017 errors.
On my legacy character, I completed all DRG and BRD quests collecting the AF sets (just WAR to go).

Edit: It is very important to spend the gil to buy good perception gear. It makes it a lot faster to level up when you are pulling in HQ's frequently for 14k - 20k per fish instead of 2.2k - 4.5k per fish.

Bought 50 stack of those... almost broke my bank. But yeah... fishing for sharks, it is very nice.
Got my second class to 50 (ARC & ACN). Also maxed out my Adders rank, bought all vanity items, and moved onto Maelstrom.

So, just so I understand correctly - we can meld materia onto other gear by having the one who owns the gear trade it to us, we meld it, and trade it back, right? This is all possible as long as the item is not spiritbound?
As for my weekend accomplishments. Yes, defeated the 1017 HNM a few times. Managed to get Gladiator to 30, PLD unlocked, Mining, Goldsmithing and Armorsmithing all to 21.
Even better and easier now!
No trading, you just right click a person and select "Request Meld" and they can accept and do it with 1 click.

Oh, I got the THM up to 27, spent seals for the chocobo and promotion to Private 2nd class, and spent time on an alt on a JP server. That one's for duoing with a friend.
I got my GLA up to level 30 and my CON to level 11... not quite where I wanted to be (I wanted to get my pally job) but thats ok, for the limited play I got due to attending Dragoncon and the log in issues, I think I did well.
Probably the quickest way to sum up my week with a bit of EA on top.

I'd go to the dunes at 35 for your class quest, the money may not be as good as with sharks, but the XP is at least double that of Costa Del Sol.
That's definitely a solid grinding spot. Every possible catch is good XP. I've been struggling to find a similar spot in Coerthas. Some good level 40 spots, but with some low level fish mixed in that I catch too often for crap XP.
Changing bait sometimes helps. Iron Jigs in Costa Del Sol lower your catch rate on Gobys and that other trash fish I forget the name of, but then again you need HQ Gobys for mooching the sharks. So it really depends on what your aim is, XP, or Gil.
Yea, it was a mix of level and bait at the new grade fishing spot. Upgraded the lure, gained a couple levels, and now I'm reeling in the big XP fish steadily.
Completed storyline up to and including getting a Chocobo and ran through the MRD and WAR quest line.
