It's not gone, it just seems that when it gets too full it stops even trying. :c They should really do something about that, I wouldn't mind being in a queue.
You got lucky, actually. At very high volume times, which seems like about half the day now, you have to get lucky to get a queue spot to log in. The rest of the time, you're hoping to catch a queue while you cycle log-ins and clear 1017's.
Yeah same here, even if I am thousands away from spot #1 I'd rather sit in it that spam the buttons over and over again... man, I can't wait for these server issues to settle once and for all.

Is there something about a large queue that eats up server resources? I can't imagine there is, but on the other hand, I can't fathom any other reason why they would limit the size of it. Even if I had to wait 3 hours, at least I'd have a place in line...
I'd rather be the 1500th person in line than have to mash the crap out of numpad0. At least with a queue I don't have to also pay attention to the screen.

Super large queues was what was crashing the Transfer lobbies that were handling Zoning and instances. Until they get the hardware fix they need to handle the massive load, I doubt the situation will improve.
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 maybe I should get my brothers macro keyboard and just have it spam the **** out of the 0 while i go watch tv LOLOL... but seriously this is ******* retarded...
Ugh if balmung can't get their **** together sigh i might have to start over if i cant log T_T
Would hate to lose a good Balmung player on account of impatience. My only recommendations right now is either roll a temporary character on the JP database to sate your exploration needs until the Congestion Swell dies down and SE has time to upgrade things, play during off-peak hours, or avoid the game entirely.
Everyone's chafing under the same problems. It doesn't help to ride on frayed nerves by overreacting.

You're a lifesaver with the numpad0! I didn't know about it and have been clicking on it with the mouse. I've gotten so good at it clicking, I'm able to predict the button locations before they appear on screen.
I thought I was made in the shade today when I attempted to login after work. I entered a queue on my first try at 46. At 43, I got 1017, then it was back to 'normal'. T_T
