So.........dishes are done, kids toys picked up out of the living room, dog walked AND given a bath, even hung a few pictures in the new house. Only thing I am refusing to do is laundry, just hate that.

Damn you SE for making me be productive on a Sunday. Good news is with all these honey do's knocked out I might be a little lucky when the wife comes home from work tonight.

Ahhhh, who am I kidding, been married 6 years with 2 kids, absolutely no chance of that :)

The good thing is I am a Legacy player so this doesn't bother me much. I already had my anger/denial phase like most are having now when 1.0 crashed and burned. In retrospect, this game even with the bad server issue is still about 1000 times better than the launch in 2010. I thought I had already lost my $80 for the CE edition back then.

LOL, I still remember running around not having any clue what to do and just trying to make friends (imagine a barren waste land with no players after about a week) then trying to put a party together. I swear it would have been easier to build a new game myself than try to build a well functioning grinding party that lasted more than 20 minutes.

Let's keep our head up people, could be worse. XI launch wasn't the best but I had many years of good times to follow.

Very good message Tech, My sunday has rarely been this productive lol, I've cleaned the house, did the lawn, took the kids out to the park, and had time to read some more Game of Thrones! Tonight I have Breaking Bad, and hopefully some FFXIV to look forward to! :D

I'm trying to get the living room functional in preparation for a retirement party we're hosting next week. This involves getting rid of the very last of the college furniture and/or disguising the bits that are still serviceable, putting up curtains, and general cleanup. (These aren't really honey dos since I'm the wife and my husband doesn't care about any of it. He has no taste.)

Yesterday I assembled our last two dining room chairs. Today I'm staring at having to sew on the fabric to finish re-upholstering a 40 year old chair nicknamed "the square chair" that we inherited from our anime club house when it was abandoned some years ago. That chair has memories, man. It also had permanent stains that could not be removed and did not match the rest of the living room, which is done in cream, tan, mahogany, and black. It went from a dingy gray/cream with walnut wood to black with mahogany stain, and it looks a thousand times better for it.

I'm just sitting around here and on the pfsense forums. I think if I can't get on, I'm gonna start upgrading my home router to the 2.1 RC build today.

I already cleaned out my grill from last night earlier today and did my weekly grocery shopping at costco yesterday during the late morning/early afternoon maintenance, but it's just too hot out to even consider any outside activities.

If you played 1.0 then you know what we are looking at here and what we were looking at there aren't even vaguely similar. Right now it is purely connection issues. When that is all fixed then you have a very well built and exciting game to play. Back then you had connection issues AND when you finally got in you did nothing but wonder why you waited all that time to get on LOL.

Don't get me wrong, all of this is BS and I don't like it. Par for the course of SE unfortunately. It is something I just deal with since I believe they make the best MMO's out there even with the flaws they have.

I have played WOW, Aion, SWTOR and Rift. And none have ever kept my attention like the FF series has.

Some find it worth it, some don't. Just wish the ones who don't would stop crying about it to the ones who do is all.

I tried cooking this chinese recipe a friend showed me today... It didn't end so well. Ever burn the bottom of a pot so badly that no brillo-pad or cleaner known to man can get it out? Yeah.. ^^;

At least I met a cute girl at the market buying those ingredients. I think she just saw a foreign guy and was all like... "SCORE!" (Wishful thinking :P) I really need to improve my spoken chinese more xD

What is real funny is I got just a text from my wife at work (who is sort of a gamer, played a little XI with me) stating she is tired of hearing about the server issues. So I guess I have to complain on here since I have a texting ban from the old lady :)

Sort of glad I was working all weekend with all the complaining and downtime. Probably won't get to play much until Tuesday, so hopefully they'll have a little more stability by then. Even if I was at home though, I think I'd be ok with the downtime... They'll get it right eventually, and at least they are doing maintenance and not just keeping it up in a terrible state like they did with 1.0 lol.

Someday soon my friends, this ride will come to and end, and we can't just get in line again.
