Class forums have been cleaned.Follow

I know that classes do, but I don't think both classes and jobs need to be separate. If anything jobs might eventually need their own sub-forum if other things besides Arcanist get a second job, but for right now it's unnecessary. But having them as separate sections instead of sub-forums is too cluttered.

Myself and many others are thankful that you're not the one making decisions 'round these parts. I look forward to job forums I'm glad that the job forums are already here.

#29REDACTED, Posted: Aug 23 2013 at 12:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok. Keep in mind Warrior will just be a Marauder with 5 extra skills, but if you think that needs a whole 'nother forum then that's fine. But I stand by my input.

There's still a difference, especially since people will be going into end game raids on their jobs rather than their classes most of the time... plus the level cap is level 50 right now, the game will continue to expand and add more levels and of course along with more levels comes more abilities.

People would have to specify every time they asked a job specific/Class specific question. The misunderstandings could be crazy lol. Stand by it all you want, its still asinine.

Again it's just 5 skills and I don't think the difference warrants a separate board. If anything it could be better organized so that "Warrior" was a sub-section under "Marauder" (but again, I think that's unnecessary atm). It's definitely too messy as is. Not sure why you're jumping down my throat and one of my comments even got deleted. It's just feedback.

They can only get messy if people use them. At this point there is only a few threads. We need beginners guides, recipe guides and gathering guides written. Hopefully people start to flesh them out soon.

How so?

Think about it for a few seconds, a mixed board would be convoluted and rife with misunderstandings. Every single post would need to explain which version of the job is being talked about. Its ok to be wrong, but when people correct you and explain why your wrong its best you reexamine your position. Or at the very least come back with better reasons than "its messy".

The index is what's too messy, not the contents of the boards.

Let's assume that "jobs" do need their own sections. Can we at least agree that (for example) Black Mage section should be placed WITHIN the Thaumaturge section for the sake of organization?

Ok the developer greenlit class/job forums so we're going to get rid of the Disciple of X forums and make those categories instead.

Darn it, that means I have to make my GLA tanking rotation thread again. Smiley: glare
