"Half-Legacy" will I still get early access?Follow

So I was a part of the 1.0 version of the game and I have my character (with the tattoo and everything), but I never paid for the subs when they started up. Do I still count as legacy in that regard and will have early access to the game, or am I amongst the ones who couldn't pre-order the CE and will have to wait until Tuesday?

No, you aren't eligible for legacy and therefore no early access.

You will have to pay the full subscription fee and won't be invited to the early access.

But you can order a digital download of the game for 29.99 on amazon (it comes with $10 gift code.) And still get into early access. This sort of rounds out to paying an extra 5 dollars to play for three extra days.

Otherwise you can up your subscription starting on the 27th.

This is no such thing as "Half-legacy". Either you paid for 3 months+ or you're not Legacy. You get 14 days free, that's all you get. No early access either.

The reason I called it half legacy was because the account existed and I played but didn't pay, it was more metaphorical than actually a thing.

It's cool. We can all blame SE for making it confusing. Legacy does refer to anything FFXIV related before ARR. But there's this additional feature called Legacy Status that only people who paid for three months of FFXIV in 2012 have. Many who have that status have taken to calling it "Legacy" for short and now no one knows what Legacy means.

Square sure ****** over 1.0 owners with the early access.

I mean, they want people to buy the game a second time so they can play with their friends? Even people who paid $80 for the original CE don't have early access. Kinda funny.

Seriously, you're complaining about 3 days? It's not like 1.0 players have to buy the game again.

It'll suck for pre-orders and Legacy folks who need to wait several days until normal 1.0 owners can play.

You want people to feel for you Killua? Ok, fine. But why didn't you pay for 3 months? The only disadvantage you have is 3 days out of pocket, not 80 bucks like the people you complain about. Just curious, did you pre-order 1.0? If so, you already had your early benefits.
