I haven't done many Fishing levequests, but I believe there are level 10 ones in Swiftperch, and level 15 ones in Aleport.

anyone know the best bait for silver sharks and whether or not its possible to catch them at level 25?

So, am I right that any HQ fish that you might have in your bags are useless to mooch with? I tried to use some that I had been storing up, and couldn't figure out how to hook them to use them. Am I correct? Or am I not using my HQ fish correctly?

Correct. You can only mooch if you just caught the fish and the mooch button lights up (and a message appears on the screen). Also, not all HQ fish are moochable, it depends on the fishing hole.

I was catching them with the lvl 30 baits in Costa Del Sol, spoon worms. I could only get them using mooch off HQ sardines, which you can only catch at night. Perhaps Wint or others know what other HQ fish can stir them up.

Purchase 99 Midge Baskets (Swiftperch NPC), and travel to The South Shroud. This is an EXTREMELY dangerous area for your current level, so try to put your Stealth action to good use. Your target area is a small Freshwater area just south of "The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak" Dungeon. Using the Midge Baskets, cast from the small ledge on the east corner of that little pool area you'll come across. Aggroing mobs never go there, so you can fish in peace. You will be catching 2 different kinds of fish - Nettle Stonefish and River Sphinx. Both are level 20 fish, and because this is a Fishing Hole, it nets you bonus exp, which stacks with the 300% (or 303%) that you receive when catching HQ versions. The exp is amazing!
((Added: It is also easy to obtain level 20 simply by fishing at the Fishing Hole from the previous quest at The Brewer's Beacon. The EXP there is also good. ))

I'm L.15 and I tried that fishing hole in South Shroud, but it says that I only sense something around. Is there a level pre-req that you might have forgotten?

I ahven't seen foods that are so awesome you can't live without them yet. Maybe that goes in another discussion.

I will be, right now my cooking is 20 and fishing is 40... not going to start hard on cooking until I ding 50 fishing. I''m really hoping that there are some food recipies that make it worth being a cook.... and even more-so I hope that having 50 fishing really aids my cooking, at least cutting down on the cost of making certain in-demand items.I still remember making bank off of sushi back in FFXI since I could catch the fish and just purchase the wasabi from the vendors, and the food was in high demand.

Yes, I'm thinking the when foods become popular the fishing+cooking combo will be profitable.

You gotta eat.

confirmed, this doesn't work for me either.

Question: How do you know where there is a fishing hole ? IT's not shown on the map or the water doesn't have a strange glow to it..
