I would assume so. I have to believe that the errors are the reason for the maintenance, not some hair clipping or grass quality issue.

I think it's reasonable, but then again, we are talking about SE and they're not always known for logical choices when it comes to their consumers!

It would give those who were locked out for over a day a chance to 'test' some more as well as giving SE some additional time to test the fix we assume they're making to our datacenters.

Maintenance finally affected the Ultros server. Got kicked out at 10:26 PM PST.

I think maybe that you get the rested exp as long as you're in a sanctuary of any kind, and don't have to be in an inn. It could be where you get more in an inn, but that I do not know. I do know that you don't have to be in one to get it.

Would have been nice to have more of a warning. I suppose they may continue the beta since they bothered with this maintenance at all. when it's over there will be 30 minutes left to play... i was so close to getting all crafts to 15.. just had alchemy to go.

wasnt all of Ultros, I'm still logged on and doing levequests at 12:38 AM CST (10:38 PM PST).

@Kwenzeler:: The turnaround from the reputation and aftertaste 1.0 left behind. I was expecting FFXIV to do well, you(maybe) were expecting FFXIV to do well, and SE was expecting/hoping for it do well, and well, it did so well that the servers couldn't handle the stress and buckled to say the least. Even to the point where they had to lock servers in the first few hours just to balance out the waves of players piling in. Many of us were expecting a good turnaround, but not to the extent where the consistent amount of players to be playing at 1 time during any Open Beta would actually break a record. FFXIV broke that record, and no one expected it, and as such, SE wasn't quite prepared for it. Not bashing them at all either.

I was just about to do mine and see for the heck of it when they booted us off for maintenance, so no idea there.

I'm sure if they make an announcement it won't be until close to end of maintenance, or when people start to log back in for the remaining OB time. Since a lot of us can't even get to the official forum due to it being overwhelmed also, it would be via Twitter or front page of Lodestone if on a site.

I missed the maintenance warning message and was booted... when to go log back in and it showed that I had no character(s) on any server... anyone else get this?

Its not even showing me worlds at all, so I'd imagine we're all in the same boat. Really wish I could've made it to a sanctuary at least
