This guy seems to know how to fix the problem. Seems it really comes down to getting all the .patch flies out of you My Documents folder.

There will be a file there named D2013.01.15.0000.000number.patch where number is "0", "1", "2", etc. The patches download in numeric order. If you see a file here named D2013.01.15.0000.0001.patch, congratulations - you've installed D2013.01.15.0000.0000.patch successfully.

When you get this error, go to the above folder and delete the .patch file. Upon doing so, log back into the launcher and it'll try the download again.

When I go to look the patch folder is empty, no files in it at all when the error occurs.

my download was 65% done and I made a great mistake and stopped it so I could finish some work.

When I brought it back up it actually started downloading the whole thing again >_>

So don't stop the download or close the application.

DL was 5.4 to as high as 7.4. Thx Verizon FIOS, was done in like 30 min

Scroll up a bit and check the comments. Some people who do not meet the requirements for the Friday 16th Phase 4 access are reporting not being able to download the client at this time.

That's a huge improvement over earlier beta phases.

Huge improvement from 1.0 when you had to third party torrent the patches to play in a decent time frame.

Be sure to check the amount remaining. It has been reported that, even though the progress bar will go back to 0 %, the amount remaining will be retained.

that would be nice, I had just planed to let it go tonight and get up early to finish it. Should take about 2 hours with my connection. Not worried really. want to see how ti plays on my pc.

Am i missing something, where do you download the phase 4 client? If its from the phase 3 client i cant open it, keeps saying unable to complete version check.

I got a link to the Japanese client page a few days ago. It was easy enough to just change the language and region.

I'm sure someone would be kind enough to link it again.
