Seeks out keyboard controller for PS3, and cries a little bit*

Check this out

That's what I'm using for FXIV on my PS3...

It works pretty good, you'll need to buy the PS2 --> USB Converter also but it's so worth it IMHO.

That's pretty cool, but it is mammoth! Got anything smaller?

Just this

But I hate using those for MMO chat... I had one for the XBOX 360 for FFXI and wound up buying a USB keyboard for it and never used the little keypad thingy because it was so difficult to chat with.

Strange enough, that's right up my alley. I got used to the XBOX 360 one. Now if they carry those at Gamestop...

I thought I saw those at my GameStop, I haven't looked recently but that was the first place I had ever seen one a while back...

$50 stain on my wallet. Ouch.

Amazon is way cheaper if you're concerned about price... I posted that link earlier.

PS4 will support Skype. So that is the most likely way that everyone will be able to chat together PS4 and PC together.

Our LS uses Vent, and at the moment, that works best for big groups.

Skype is currently limited for larger groups, so hopefully they will be upgrading their servers and software for gaming due to their deal with Sony and the PS4.

I'm curious, can you link where you saw that Sony will use their competitor's voice communication product on their new console? That's good news, but I find it very surprising.

VOIP is the standard for communications so I can easily see a program like Skype or Teamspeak working on the PS4 allowing voice chat. The PS4 version of FFXIV will only offer voice chat for only PS4 players. Considering how Android has an App for Teamspeak and Skype; It's pretty much a certainty that the PS4 will have it too. A good work around is something like Wint has in his link or simply using a tablet, smart phone, or PC to communicate with others in voice chat. Skype is rumored to hold like 25 people at one time, but I never tested it.

Oh ****, you are correct to question this. Skype is on the Vita, not the PS4. *sigh* I really should not post relying on my memory.

I assumed the same but there is not any verification yet. It seems like Skype is still going to be FFXIV's best chance for cross platform communication.

You can get these a lot cheaper from Amazon That is where I got mine from and I love it. Only paid about $25 for a brand new one, unopened.

Yeah I linked the Amazon one first but he said he wished they were at Gamestop... so I linked that...

That's really cool looking. I'm just not sure my wrists can handle the extra weight. I pulled out an old wireless kb from the closet and will use that until it dies. I do like the larger keys.
