I think at this point, most of us can agree that while SE used a lot of classic formulas and systems from other games, XIV looks like it will have enough to set it apart from the rest. It really does have a personality all it's own and the fun factor to back it up. That being said, there are some things I think SE should consider adopting from other MMOs yet.
Transmogrification is a system in WoW that allows you to transform the look of your gear to the look of another. There are rules though:
1. You must be able to equip it.
2. It cannot be something silly like a fish mh weapon (think moogle wand in FF).
3. It has to be the same armor type, i.e. Leather > Leather.
I was so in love with this system. A lot of the gear I obtained wasn't to my liking aesthetically, so I transmog'd my gear to look like other sets I had collected through out my journey. It was really fun to solo old content or get small groups together to farm old pieces of equipment that looked awesome and put together your own style for your character.
I really liked the RSE and some of the equipment I obtained in beta, but some were hideous. I felt like wearing my old gear when I wasn't fighting because the new stuff was ugly and looked, iirc as someone said before, like I was wearing a pillow. It isn't silly because you can only mog gear that you can actually use in battle. No one would be able to mog their Paladin gear in to a robe for example, or their Monk gear in to a summerfest Kimono.

What do you guys think? Any systems you'd like SE to borrow for XIV? Any new and original ideas you can think of that they should implement?
