The My Player mode in that game is one of the best in any game I've played. In fact, I'd go so far as to say the NBA 2k series makes the most realistic sports games on the market. Fifa is great, Madden is adequate, but the mechanics in the last few 2k games have just been spot on.

Indeed. I love that My Player stuff. Usually have a few different ones saved. My current focus has been with an athletic center drafted by the Raptors.

After FF11. My wife is primarily a Tekken addict, or into puzzle games.

After our eldest's 5th grade graduation party and other family events, she only got about 3 hours of actual play in this last weekend. Eldest heads to ****** in a few hours as an exchange student, and we have arranged for the 2 little ones to spend the weekend at My folks... and to top it off, we've gotten my mother in law out of the house for 2 weeks to Rhode Island (free babysitter, likely going to live with us til she dies though) :D

First time in 7 years we'll have the house to ourselves, and I'm betting she'll want to do nothing but play FF as About every 4-8 hours she asks me if the game is back up again.

Very psyched. :D

I hereby name you the luckiest man alive.

As for me, I've been chipping away at 3-d models. I've never had any formal training, which means it takes me a lot longer, but it also helps kill time so I think it evens out.

I've been geeking out on The Last of Us for a couple days. I love it, but I have to take breaks. It's too damn nerve racking at times. Has anyone here played it at all? It really is a great game. I don't even know how to describe it, it' one of the greatest games I've ever played. Which is a tall compliment, because I've played a lot of good games, and for this to make it into my favorites list within like 2 days of me playing it is impressive. I really miss FFXIV though, I would rather be playing that. lol

Bit of a withdrawals here aswell.

Though I don't think I will play much before beta phase 4 now because I mainly just wanted to try out few dungeons and see how the group content is shaping up. The game seems really good and its so far from 1.0. Only bit over 2 months (hopefully) for release, then I will go all out (or maybe ill do that in beta 4 already).

Anyways I dont want to burn myself out in beta before release :).

Thanks Wint, it's good to be back, and I promise that 8 years hiding in Eve online haven't turned me into a vicious, baby-eating monster... Well, only on Tuesdays. Promise...

Pardon me, Do you have any Grey Poupon?

The missus and I actually had our first kiss over Shining Force II on Sega Genesis 18 years ago... and we can get downright mean over a game of VS Tetris. Got her sucked into Crono Trigger and FF7 onward at that point.

We stopped playing MTG together after she stabbed me in the leg with a mechanical pencil, and admittedly I deserved the stabbing. I'd built an entire deck of nothing but 4 of every counter-spell ever made, Mana, and cards to recycle the graveyard. Just sat there stopping every single move, restoring my cards, and drawing out the "Ummmmmmmm, No!" (giggle) like a real jerk.

It's just safer for all involved if we avoid some games. :)

A bit later, she received a free PS2 HDD from Square to participate in the PS2 FF 11 NA Beta, the only MMO she's willing to play. And here we are today, 3 kids later, and finally, the Kids' school is giving us back a few more hours to play once again.

Now, do we have to kidnap a US or JP dev to force the servers up ?

Anyone?

Nice, I'm working on a Kevin Durant style SF/PF combo who can take it to the rim but also shoot from the outside. It's a deadly combo, considering I also attack the glass on defense. My weakness is probably in the low post on offense and defense, and I'm not a superb ball-handler yet, but it'll get there. Just started my 2nd season after getting ousted in the 2nd round of the playoffs last year.

I am just glad to not only be back in a Final Fantasy, but back on Zam. It seemed that in the twilight (well even in the dawn of 1.0) everything even remotely associated with 14 was painful. But, it is starting to feel like a community again. Here is to hoping that we have another decade of great FF MMO fun.

And Otosan, I can totally relate. My wife and I gave the kids a week notice that we were going to be unavailable last weekend, and they would have to fend for themselves:). Fortunately the youngest are teens, so, it really wasn't a problem (typing that just feels painful).

So, who is up for the march of the hopping Gobbues this weekend (You better believe one of the first things I do will see what Gobbues look like jumping!)

Left Null when we figured out we could make a lot more money for our age levels (real age, CEO is nearing 60) just selling other people the blueprints and letting THEM haul and build. A very long time ago was in JV1 for a while in varying accounts. Now mostly retired, I get messages when the POS's get attacked... log in... Turn on the death stars and just afk to watch the fun.

I preferred Lowsec, and before the kids were all potty trained, I used to spend most of my time in Tararan/Labapi/Sosan. It's just a serious pain in the rear when your gang thinks it's funny to put you in your pod when you take more than 60 seconds on a diaper change.

Most fun I get these days is zapping around in Interceptors, built to tackle, and rigged to warp at 21 AU/S, taunting carriers into dropping their fighters, then leading them around the system before warping back to the Carriers and laughing while the fighters warp back in a futile effort to catch me.

Pure velocity is one thing, it's just too much fun to be able to beat nearly anyone to a gate after they've already warped.

Edit... oh my, there's Mama doing the Bard thing... Okaasan Ookami now in this iteration.

Couldn't find any of my old pics in the WHM AF2/Noble Tunic or the THF AF2+Thief's Knife. So many Dynamis Lords pulled... So many Jorm/Tiamat battles as WHM then racing back to Juno and back again as a thief for the kill. So much Sky farming... ( shudder)

I remember sitting for hours on Kirin battles, healing any group doing the fight from the outside just for something to do. Always got a kick out of throwing down RIII's or keeping their tanks up during a wipe and Reraising for my efforts :D

So very many PM's asking for [Tractor] + [Raise] [Please]... I swear I could rescue anyone from just about anywhere, and people knew that.

Hehe, low sec ganging real fun!

Had 3 account till not to long ago. Got tired playing though.

I was with 2 of my chars in deep sov null and another in WH space for the lols and for making drugs/t3s etc. The rest were 1 indie/indutry jf pilot making titans the second for fighting.

Too much drama in null but boy you got everything from big *** fights (battle of asakai was there good fight) to small gang roams! Everything for good fights.

Interceptors are actually my fav ships i love them especially the gallente ones. And of course i also love my sb nemesis!! :)

Well enough eve talking this is FF XIV Haha

Exactly, Enough of "Excel Spreadsheets in Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!" It's the Polar opposite of FF, more a simulator than a game at times. :D Current Skills: 346 (Skill Points: 132,700,341.00) as you can see, I've had quite enough focus there for now, I've set a 40 day skill, /ignore ON.

Really looking forward to having a Co-op game to play with the missus again, not to mention she's pretty damn good at her job, and used to fill in on my character during some of the nastier HNM in 11, when I had to take care of housework or the kids.

I'm really looking forward to playing with you guys again too, some of the best times I had in XI were with RenkeiDorkz and you two. I remember you helping me get my WHM AF body and unleashing a 300 TP Hexastrike on Altedour I Tavnazia and then proceeded to keep hate from Kingpopof for the rest of the fight Smiley: laugh Hopefully we can make new memories in XIV the same way.

The real trick was timing an Icarus wing and Holy Bursting yourself with Hexa Strike + Black Halo.

I never got into Ballista much, but once a day... I could even ruin a geared-up paladin with that trick. Stacked with sneak attack too If i wanted to give up the /nin for /thf.

Nothing like the feel of 2 warhammers in your hands to make a WHM feel daring.

I hear that 1.0 characters will be available in the next part of phase 3? (Starting Friday?)

Anyone can confirm or deny that?
