Which zone from Vanadiel would you want to see in Eorzea?Follow

For a pure nostalgia factor, Sarutabaruta. First zone I hit walking out of Windurst, it always brings back good memories.

Oh yeah, there are a few more. Mostly because of the scenery and music:

-Rolanberry Fields. I have memories of a brave level 40 Samurai sacrificing himself so I could get to Jeuno during my first run there with my level 20 friends.
-Norg. I spent a lot of time there doing that mule trick with the scrolls of Utsusemi: Ichi. No shame.
-Pso'Xja. Diremites were my friend, for their blood.
-Aydeewa Subterrane. Good times with mages falling asleep in parties because of the peaceful music, lol.
-Caedarva Mire. Loved the eerie feel of the zone. Hated overcamping against True Sight Imps.
-Bibiki Bay. Post-ToAU when no one ever went here anymore, it was amazing going there to solo on BST. I felt old school Smiley: lol

I loved Norg and Tavnazia, but I think that's because in my head there was this very really feeling that I had traveled long and hard to get to these places and explore them.

Also, Lufaise Meadows was my favorite area, but that had to do with the music. Believe it or not, I don't see the appeal of the Zi'Tah music... but I never spent much time in that zone compared to other people.

Even though it didn't have music and the navigation was horrible, I've always liked Beaucedine Glacier and the rest of the Northlands. The dark crystal formations were awesome and you could subtly tell that something epic happened there in the past. I guess I'm just a fan of snowy, mountainous areas.. I suppose it's a good thing I just bought the Skyrim: Legendary Edition. XD

Promyvion, not a doubt.

All of them. IN FLAMES.

Zi'Tah had some of the best lighting effects in any video game I've ever seen. I have a screenshot of a sunrises where the sky is golden and the forest is still black in front of it. Amazing. And when a thunderstorm hit and it turned a misty green / glowy purple.... yeah.

The music with the acoustic guitar is melancholy and matches the feel of the forest, but not the historical mood of it. The Elvaan considered it a "sacred" place, according to the lore, but the guitar music doesn't really feel sacred. (Now, Hall of the Gods? That has all the pomp and circumstance of a grand cathedral and sounds sacred.)

Can I get a zone from another game?
KIngdom Of Zeal: Chrono Trigger

Not an actual copy, I just want an empire city in the sky. Let us have some airship or flying magitek battles in the sky.

The Dunes. The first time I ever went there I ran by 2 party wipes on my way to the outpost...good times.

I could live with the dunes if they had a boss battle like this. Do you think an mmo could pull of an instance or NM like this but multiplayer in a desert on a colossal beast?

....bahaha, just kidding. I thought Lufaise instantly when reading the thread, and realize its now the clear favorite, so I'll go with Al'Taieu (Sea). I just loved the look of that zone, and the UFO's were just a really cool feature.

SG's music is the most nostalgic for me actually.

Actually other MMOs have quite a few huge bosses like that. WoW has a bunch that even have different target points such as head, and both arms. Tiamat from FFXI was pretty damn big iirc. It could be that it was just huge to me back then though. Compared to bosses in other games, he may be small.

I still have a dream of someday building a sort of Jacque Fresco inspired Bastok. There's always the lottery? Smiley: rolleyes

Not sure but it would be epic no doubt. GoW had some of the greatest boss battles.

Riverene Site A and/or B.

Going in there the very first time when doing CoP had my mouth wide open in awe!!! Not to mention the CS in there for the story.

I love those maps, they are huge and confusing, with High Lv mobs (for a lv75 whm), every time I m in there my heartbeats were at 200, always think I was going to get lost and die

How about a portal that will allow me to visit ALL the FFXI Zones?

I can't pick just one but to narrow it a little... Any zone that has Ors, I love killing Orcs. Oh, and sheep too, damn you sheep and your lullaby.
