1. is crafting still so cumbersome that I will blow my head off before completing the game?

2. how far can I get solo? when will my a$$ be in a bind that I need a group.

3. will housing be better defined as far as purchase/owning, groups.

4. How user friendly will this be for an MMO newb?

Well in that case I have a few questions of my own...

1. Does teleportation still use anima or does it use something else?

2. Will there be a means of inter-town travel similar to the mog house warp of FFXI?

3. Are there going to be more interesting areas compared to that of FFXIV 1.0 which, as most of us agree, was quite bland to say the least?

4. Will the control scheme be changed so that moving the camera does not spin the character on a single pivot without his feet moving like so many of us were upset about upon seeing the first videos?

5. Will the use of a controller completely rock our phaces off* ?

6. Lastly, how will the game run performance-wise compared to FFXIV 1.0, better or worse?

After making your character, and after any opening CG, precisely how long do you have to play before you assume complete control? That is, how long do they make you listen to an NPC explain setting and give you tutorials about stuff you can figure out yourself, or make you complete small tasks before your aloud to go free?

Are equipment choices interesting? How improved are the battle mechanics?

and this might be known already, but is the auction house in yet? is it supposed to be at launch? if so, how's it working?

edit; Also, have the naming conventions for your character changed at all? Is it still a double name? is one of them considered primary? can you turn off the display of the first or last name? This might be known already. Just wondering.

How is the mob dispersement/respawn times?

Are there any "XP parties" like in XI/1.0?

How does the progression of abilities for classes feel? Like, are there enough skills/too many skills? How does the leveling pace feel?

Any cool easter eggs or interesting out of the way places anyone's found yet?

1- Is combat really fast paced ? Does it require some sort of preparation or is it just a spam fest, w/o regards to resources or positioning ? (Overall, not just well on bosses you hit more than 2 keys, that is a given.)

2- Fates, are they hard ? are they well designed ? or are they more akin to just X number of mobs spawn at a location, and you just kill them all ? do they have cool enemy AI ? for example do they attack a fort or something alike, and attack by all entrances, or just show up outside and swarm in one entrance to be killed quickly ?

3- Quests, are they well versed in lore ? are they the typical kill X because reasons and rinse and repeat ? Are there pleanty of them ?

1) Because Chocobo might be turned into battle companions later, can you ride them in town in beta?
2) What city is the Beta in? what cool additions did they make for the starting city?
3) How many different kinds of Fates are there?
4) Are there mult-colored chocobos right now or only yellow?
5) How is fishing in Beta? is there fishing in beta?
6) how detailed is the character creation? are there sliders (Elder scroles) or just pre-made models like ffxi?
7) Is lala bust size real or a joke?
8) Is there any voice acting at all in beta?
9) is the crafting mini game better or worse? does it take a lot longer?
10) when you get mail, does a moogle pop up and give it to you or do you need to talk to a moogle somewhere in the world?
11) Are beginning mobs copy paste from 1.0?
12) how well does the controller/gamepad work? like....if you have 10 players on screen and 10 mobs, how do you target the one you want?
14) are there alot of Female Galkas (dont know what they are called) online?
15) Is the Beta flooded with Make Cats?
16) How responsive has the developers been regarding player feedback?
17) do developers respond to beta forum feedback?
18) how fast is leveling from 1-10-15-20? etc? is it too quick or something? How did people even test get to test higher level content?
19) are pets given in quests or are they crafted or captured?
20) Are quests fun? is there variety or the same old fetch mob drops and kill mobs etc?

I want to know, for certain, if we will see Thief as a Job at some point in the future.

I don't need a timeframe. I don't need specifics. I just want confirmation of either yes, at some point we will add thief, or no we won't. None of this "we're thinking about it" or "it's on our radar".

(Not sure if this is beta related, oh well)

Most of my questions are around free companies and how they will function. I want to know what type of content will be available at launch and specifics about how they will (rank up... what are they calling it?) level. From what I had heard previously the content for free companies and housing was to be extensive. I'm not sure they have tested any of this in the beta thus far.

I am also concerned/interested in how limit breaks will work. In general, the alpha videos of battle looked stale and lacking strategy. I want reassurances that gameplay outside of instances will be challenging and rewarding. I hated how monsters died so fast in 1.xx. While Yoshi has already pronounced my concern here irrelevant. I maintain strategic battle cannot exist when a monster dies before you can use even one or two abilities.

Specifics on Arcanist and Summoner.

I want to know more about Odin and how the so-called free company summons work.

Will we be forced to take on a new role other than the one we started with, for ex

Start as Archer then at some point down the road probably in class quest they force you into a Bard. Do we have to take that route, will it hamper our effectiveness if we don't?

I thought of a couple more:

Are the battle animations varied? One thing that bothered me about 1.0 is that a lot of the animations looked kinda similar. Are they distinct now?

Have they changed the way leves work at all? Are there more variety?

I wonder if they are still going to keep the cutscenes like they had them in 1.xx where it showed your entire party in the cs not just you. like the final fights at the end of this last era?

AS i quit playing the 1.0 pretty early, some of this might be general knowledge, but here it goes.
1. how solo friendly is this game in general

2. can i own a chocobo or am i forced to rent one for travel

3. has the playstyle of classes changed much (esp Thaumaturge)?

4. how fast is levelling in general (if you solo)

5. we got housing? is it something an individual might enojy or do i need a guild/linkshard/whatever?

6. has questing changed from 1.0, if so, how?

7. do we still pick a starting city, if we do, does the choice matter in any way?
