These were just the things I could think of off the top of my head that have been mentioned that differ from WoW. So far, only 20% of the content of the game has even been released in beta according to Yoshi-P himself. So there's 80% more stuff to flesh out the above ideas, as well as introduce new elements. At least give the game a chance for yourself before deciding what it is or isn't.

Those are the only original things in the game. Wow had combos, Grand companies are reputation grinds, levequest are dailies, so on so on... Jesus you guys get so offended and defensive, when somebody even mentions wow in the same breath as FFXIV.... Unless yoshi says it then is ok Smiley: lol

Nope, just like to poke the WoW fanboys who think that every game after WoW is just WoW 2: The Reckoning. If you noticed, I've repeatedly admitted that FFXIV has borrowed things from other games, including WoW. That's part of what a lot of people in this forum are excited for, the fact that they listened to the fans who all screamed for them to incorporate good design ideas and systems from many successful mmo's and make the game more streamlined, which they've done. They've also still managed to keep the game unique with loads of new features and have incorporated their own FF-style.

It's funny that you think I'm offended, yet you are the one getting all snippy about it. Smiley: dubious I just like a good discussion.

I believe posting images is premium only, but it's been a while and I can't remember for sure. You would see a menu item "Images" when you mouse over your forum name at the top right corner there.

FYI premium also allows you to embed youtube videos, and is only $10 for 3 months Smiley: wink

I figured it out. You have to upload to your profile and then use the image code. I posted two in the Media ban lifted page.

In the live letter when he answered a question about the quest A Relic Reborn and whether or not peoples progress would be saved. He said the quest would be different, progress would be saved and that it would be easier than in 1.0 which he said would probably annoy some 1.0 players. Unless I misinterpreted it all of course.
