God, I seriously cannot wait for the game to come out so everyone can actually have something different to talk about. Every "new" thread devolves into the same things.

Sadly, in the Fox News universe we live in, you're either right or you're destroying America. I don't think FFXIV debates are any more rational no matter how much conclusive proof you throw at it.

Is there a forum definition for the term troll? I don't use that word often, if at all. I mean, anyone that doesn't agree with me is a troll right? On some levels, I have to respect their tenacity to hold their position midst the hoard.

Considering this forum is actually way more relax than for example the Main Forums! The word troll does not get thrown around as much (Tho it did back in the Day!) but basically if you are not a White Knight! You are a Troll! Which is funny because the majority of the so called trolls have been way more right about what direction the game is going than the actual White Knights! Which brings the question ? Who is the real troll really ?

[quote]Bless to me looks like a ripoff of FFXIV done right, even the races are almost identical lol Bless however looks exciting to play to me.

Might I recommend some other top-quality games to you such as Super Mole Kart, Minecroft, and Assassin's Credence? They're all such vibrant and interesting games; I don't know how the respective companies come up with so many good ideas -- and so quickly, at that!

And, in the case of Bless, nothing spells quality like Korean game company NEOWIZ GAMES, right? Smiley: rolleyes

Looks pretty quality to me.

The problem with 99% of Korean MMOs is that the graphics are amazing, and the game design is ****. Bare of any original content. The same thing for 100 levels. Re: boring.

I agree in general, but the industry is growing rapidly there. It might not always be the case.

OT a bit, Bravely Default got announced for localization. while I'm sure this was decided a while ago before we got the Wada news and they're just announcing it now, I'm glad Square is doing SOMETHING right.

Growing rapidly, but progressing slowly. It could be that this one breaks the mold, but I won't believe it until I see it. At best, it'll probably be another WoW+1. A few tweaks here and there, but the same basic experience--nothing new enough for the players who have been there, done that. Of course, execution>concept, but if there's one thing I don't trust Korean developers to do, it's execute.

I didn't say this one would break the mold. Looks kinda generic if you ask me.

Best news about SE I've heard in... over a year? I'm stoked about an English Bravely Default release!

It's the perfect title for those who hold contrary opinions on Zam, after all. Smiley: tongue

Is that a PS3 game ? I really have not looked into it, but i have heard a few good things about the game.

Oh Interesting! Is a succesor for FF heroes of light (Which i have not played, but will do now to see if there are any connections) there also seems to be a PC sequelish game in development, and a sequel, the one thing that sold me on the game, was the class system, is based on FFV <3

I got 72 hours out of Four Warriors/Heroes of Light, so I've been excited about Bravely Default since, well, almost since the 3DS was announced. They're wonderfully lengthy games with great art direction and music (the first contained nearly a hundred chiptune tracks), and certainly well worth looking into if you liked Final Fantasy III and/or V. Smiley: nod

Erm... oh, yeah, about FFXIV... >_>
#374 Apr 04 2013 at 5:56 PM Rating: Default
How does Four heroes of light stack againts other FF titles of the same theme ? you know the crystal sagas etc etc ? Does it has a unique story ?
#375 Apr 04 2013 at 7:00 PM Rating: Default
I never played 4 Heroes of Light but there was a lot of buzz surrounding Bravely Default despite being Japanese only. It was really well received.

It's a really good start. As for it being a XIV board, well yeah, but this topic was specifically about Wada, Square Enix, and what they can do to fix their company, so it's appropriate.

Then again, I'm not really inclined to "praise" Square Enix for bringing Bravely Default stateside... you would think selling your major game releases (especially one that was critically praised) to your fans would be a no brainer.

It's at least a step in the right direction though.

Couldnt agree more.. I would hope there was some other reason why they did not send it besides just not doing it for no good reason.. But then again this is SE we are talking about.. I have mad love for them but in some instances they make decisions that cant be defended lol.. This one among them.. This game amng others should have BEEN stateside.
