I'll be playing on PS3 exclusively, so I really hope it doesn't

yes there was a search function added at some point but it still wasn't as proper/streamlined as an AH, not by a longshot, and you still had to walk through those creepy bazaar NPCs.

again it's not even really one of my huge gripes but it's more like Callinon was saying. how did they mess that one up? besides local/nation divided AHs not working so well later in the game's life, the FFXI AH seemed pretty much perfect to me.

AGAIN, you didn't have to go near the creep room that probably smelled pretty foul. You were able to buy right from the search menu. Search for item, buy it. JUST LIKE FFXI.

You keep mentioning all the fanatical fanboyism. I quite playing 14 about 3 months in because I got bored with it and would play it very lightly occasionally to check on progress, and I cancelled when they started charging for it, and came back for the "Welcome Back" campaign to check out the changes and stayed.

I've been pretty f*cking outspoken about the flaws and stupid moves they've made, like beginning their subscription phase just as all the new MMO's like SWTOR were released.

And I can think of at least 5 or 6 people here even more critical than I am, that can actually have a discussion on the topic without it devolving into an internet slap fight.

This is how I picture the Beta Testers crashing the servers. It is likely that random and epic.

You should really consider putting those in a binder or something... it's just... I mean... swimming around in them can't be good.

Oh, the papercut horror. THE HORROR!

So...we still arguing about FFXIV in general, in a thread about the PS3 version? :P

Anyways, I'll stick to the topic, there's almost no chance of another PS3 version delay, they'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they did, seeing as people are really excited now, due to what has been shown, and what they have talked about doing in the future. I can't imagine them launching the title before it's finished again, or else they might as well just scrap 14 all together.

now you're just bordering on insanity. you don't need to be an author to critique a book. I might just be a 'video games enthusiast' but I have a pretty good idea of what's fun and what isn't.

apparently you think only programmers and game developers deserve to have their opinions heard. let me educate you. these games are made to sell to and please the consumers. "disgusting commonfolk" such as myself. I would say that since the opinions of these non-programmers, non-game developers are what dictate sales, what they think is pretty relevant.

Actually the definition of insanity is extreme irrationality. And in my personal opinion, spending enough time to make nearly 1,000 comments on a game which you A. do not like and B. do not think will be fun, is indeed borderline extreme irrationality. Therefore we must ask ourselves, who is indeed insane?

I cant see them delay the game even further, they already pushed it back once if im not mistaken. It was supposed to launch in feb according to some a year old post/annoucment, might just be my memory but im pretty sure. Really hope they stick to the roadmap, otherwise I sense a great deal of people who would lose even more trust in SE. Rather see them make a roadmap they can actually keep than giving people false hope.

I guess ARR and SE is a special case when it comes to "trust" for obvious reasons hehe.

But if it was a different game with not so big back story (call me fail XIV) i don't think people would lose trust in the developer for postponing the game a bit more. The devs would just put an announcement that would say "To be 100% sure the game will deliver and be up to your expectations we will postpone it for a month).

A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.

Somehow Poubelle unless the title screen is a depiction of a moogle holding yoshi-p's head on a pike whilst mammets dressed as f2p mmo's dance round it. I fail to believe you'll ever be satisfied with the outcome.

I guess at the end of the day, we just have no clue as to what might happen, for all we know, both releases could be delayed in order to bring a better product into the market, maybe the PS3 version could be delayed a month to make extra sure is up to standard with it's PC counterpart, maybe they dont get delayed at all and we are all happy, or maybe they do a Versus and forever and ever stay in development.

I know everything is in Beta right now but my guess is the PS3 version will get launched the same time as the PC version, here is an article I found about the PC and PS3 release date, it says it might not be out until December! FFXIV Release Date

That's just the amazon placeholder for a release date, I wouldn't put any stock in that at all.

Yes, the December date is most likely.
