Honestly, my only complaint is that the new female races don't have bigger butts. I like big butts, and I cannot lie.

Otherwise, the game looks beautiful. The areas look very reminiscent of FFXI... I hope they are slightly more visually interesting on the whole. I don't want them to be so realistic that they are bland, but then I don't like it when games slap you in the face with colorful and wacky geography at every turn, either. They seem to have struck a good balance.

Wow, I forgot about the whole male Miqo'te/female Roegadyn stuff until checking out those pics. Looking good though.

Blatantly copy-pasted stars make me sad, especially in a game where constellations were supposed to come into play.

Is it really that difficult to draw a panorama of dots without tiling it every few hundred pixels? Smiley: frown

Well, yes, I think so. When you're trying to create a living world -- and one where celestial objects such as moon phases, primal stars, and looming meteors hold no little significance -- it doesn't make sense for one to look skyward and see 22 slightly rotated instances of Orion's Belt.

It may seem somewhat nit-picky to you, but please consider how incredibly easy it is to splatter some white dots against a dark background before you write the criticism off. A unique sky is especially important: the resultant picture forms the backdrop for the entire upper half of every outside area.

I overlook copy-paste when it's more appropriate or understandable (e.g., on a majority of equipment, weapons, or creatures), but call it out when it seems too significant or lazy. Thus, ultimately, I don't think I was being too harsh, and certainly not too demanding.

I'd still hit it, even with Gary Busey watching.
