Character creation locks :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

I know that character creation was locked on many of the servers during P4. I was not able to play last weekend and want to be able to get on the server that everyone I know chose. Has anyone seen anything about SE opening up character creation for EA?

As i said before, its very likely all servers will be open for creation at the start of EA as many of the Phase 4 characters arent going to be used anymore(since some players won't p2p), but its also very likely they'll close registration as soon as it seems the servers are getting filled again.

I guess I'm staying up until the servers go live, lol. At least I work late tomorrow.
